Yep. Without that, Alabama is not in Atlanta are they? And what makes some Alabama fans think it would have rolled over Florida? I'm just trying to figure it out since all the other top 10 SEC teams Alabama faced came down to the last possession.

Simple solution, only count division wins and losses. Is it really that hard to comprehend?

Let's see how the "vote" goes in Destin. You think Les/Alleva have been able to sway anymore voters their way in the last year?

We may have South Carolina and A&M. But there's a reason why the Mississippi schools, Kentucky, and Vandy won't be swayed. And I promise it isn't because they want to keep rivalries in tact.

You are going to have to get over the fact this is CFB, not the NFL. tradition is a key aspect of CFB and the SEC.

What if everyone said LSU should have no more night home games than everyone else? I am sure there would be no bitching. afterall we are talking about equality, right

They seem to gloss over the fact that before last year they played UK, UT, and Vandy. But use last year to say that equals every year.

They also gloss over the fact that the last time there was a bridge schedule, the same guy in the SEC office forced UA to play consecutive games in Baton Rouge.

Stuff happens.

Well, yes.

I wish I could find the thread where Slive said the rivalries were protected "for now."

It may not be in the next few years but these permanent games will eventually be gone.

Sorry.

Why even play the other division? why not just create two seperate conferences? What if you have a three way tie(which happens quite a bit)?

And again, LSU fans now in favor of games that dont count? Ive seen it all

Fine by me, with all the new TV contacts, LSU has already lost many of those night games we hold so dear.

Why play them? To keep the "traditions" alive. Last I checked those games still count toward your overall record and SOS, it just levels the playing field for everyone with regards to getting to Atlanta.

I think it's pretty plain to see that the permanent rivalries will eventually be gone. It's starting to become nationally recognized.

Timing of a game and permanent cross divisional games are clearly not even remotely in same category of issues. But I would only GAF because I enjoy night games.

I have seen LSU win many home games at 2:30. So while I'd be upset, it wouldn't be too big of a deal.
