Can you provide a link to posters bitching about losing the night games? Most LSU fans I know like the night games because we can drink longer at the tailgates before going into the game, and it isn't hot as balls throughout the game. Gets pretty humid in Louisiana early in the year.

Everyone knows they won't last. Honestly, we just enjoy listening to the rantards cry when we talk about them.

Not what yall enjoy is acting like it's only LSU fans and LSU posters on this site who either A) start scheduling threads or B) Bitch about it.

I could probably bump 15 threads right now that were all schedule related started by another fan base. And I could show you multiple posts from other fan bases who also think cross division games need to be eliminated.

not so certain. just because slive said an ambiguous statement doesnt mean that will be the outcome. you need a majority vote, which wont happen with the current teams

Timing of a game and permanent cross divisional games are clearly not even remotely in same category of issues

They most certainly are. are not night games at tiger stadium condiered a tradition? LSU AD seems to say so

Don't bother. He actually thinks we believe in voodoo and that LSU is 10X better the team at night.

He's also comparing that to cross divisional games.

He's a troll.

I'll say this.

If Saban were to say we'll vote to eliminate cross divisional "rivalries" if LSU gets rid of night games, I'd be all for it.

Scheduling inequalities mean more than tradition IMO.

Everyone watches Bama. Bama is America's team now.

Highest rated football games last season:

1. Bama/ND
3. Bama/Lsu
4. Bama/Aggies
9. Bama/Michigan

Of course we have bitched about not getting a primetime night game. It's a known fact that we love our night games.

But I'd be more than happy to play as many night games as everyone else if the cross divisional games were eliminated.

What point are you even trying to prove? That it's unfair that LSU gets night games?

nc14 I'm not doing that and yes, it is

I didn't just say LSU.

And let's get something straight. If there were a way to keep these traditional games, while evening things out across the board, I'd be all for it.

Look, I don't give 2 squirts of piss about TSIO. And most others don't either (as Alahunter clearly showed. With all of those Bama games being watched, it seems no one watched TSIO).

And I only had to go back 3 weeks on the TR, to find 4 threads about not playing night games.

its a tradition, is it not? Like I said LSU AD seems to promote that. Your fans dont like giving up on traditions, as do the rest of CFB

All SEC schedules aren't created equal. We should try to reform scheduling, while also preserving traditional rivalries, with the objective being more equal scheduling practices.

All reasonable, intelligent people agree with the above statement(s). Everyone is pretty much on board with the above. Currently we are in the brainstorming phase of scheduling reform and just trying to figure out what everyone collectively will agree to. It's only a matter of time before a solution is agreed to which is in the best interest of everyone going forward.

How would you do that? Scheduling now(after 92') is more fair than it ever was before

Again, I have said numerous times that we love our night games and want to continue to play them.

It's still unclear what point you're attempting to prove.

Sure it is. But again, I'd be more than happy to play as many night games as everyone else for a trade for cross divisional games.

Hell, that sounds like a frickin deal actually.

quote:

Like I said LSU AD seems to promote that.

Again, the issue is not tradition here for everyone. The issue is that our current scheduling system is completely flawed and gives teams too much of a advantage in certain years. Sometimes for multiple years in a row.

LSU has benefited from it too. There's no denying it. But we shouldn't continue on with a flawed system of scheduling just to preserve a "rivalry" that is supposedly sacred, yet doesn't even crack the top 10 in national viewers.

I think you know the answer to this question.

And let's all not forget the fan base of the OP. Just for the record.
