That was done during various fan events. Even so, I don't have an issue given it's been ages since we went bowling. I will have an issue *if* that becomes standard.
However, that bowl game popped the proverbial cherry and represented far more than just a lower tier bowl win - you can bet your arse fans won't be satisfied to go to a bowl like that again. And we won't be as happy to win a non-Championship, even a good bowl, ever again.
If you'd been where we've been you'd understand what it was about. It was about progress but it was also much more than that.

Not sure how ruining your first shot at playing for a national title ever would be fun.
If you are referring to the 2011 14-3 game, that was quite honestly one of the most boring and poorly played SEC games I've ever seen in person.

I know it probably sounds strange to you but almost everyone has a good time at Neyland and in Knoxville. We get compliments all the time from other fanbases who visit and always have even when they lose.
It's just that we don't treat Gators very well at all. But then; heated rivalry.

Well I actually said the other day on here that Knoxville is the funnest college town I've been to. Of course I've been there 7x and never lost either.

This is true, but you also have a Sugar Bowl app sprinkled in there, and '06-'10 were incredible for your program. Our '06-'10 equivalent was like 20 years ago

True but it hasn't been nearly as long for you. Y'all went to a major bowl in Muschamp's first year even though it does feel like he was there forever. OTOH, we hadn't won a bowl game since the 07 season (that 2008 outback bowl win).
And we hadn't made a bowl since 2010 -- we lost in a game that actually caused the NCAA to change its rules (we'd won but a penalty on UNC allowed UNC to re-kick a field goal despite time being expired). The NCAA found the outcome of this so egregious that they created the 'Tennessee Rule' so that teams could no longer benefit from their own penalty and later they added several more because of it. Under all of the rule changes we would have won.
That said, it's honestly a damn shame to see what's happened to UT and UF. While I'll always take a win over y'all (I know, I know), I want to win when both of us are at our best.
