Maybe he should call a few more timeouts before he melts down completely and loses the game

You'd think after losing by 33 to DrisChamp and getting buttchugged brick by brick twice that Spurrier would focus more on preparation and less on coming up with quips.

Lol Spurrier needs to realize that South Carolina has nowhere to go but to the gutter with the Big Orange finally waking up.

Yeah. That interview today is really messing with preparation...... You can say that about any coach that ever loses a game and does an interview m

7-6 Tennessee "Waking up"

7-6 South Carolina "On it's way to the gutter"

You're just proving his point.

Steve's point about perspective is well noted. BUT South Carolina went from #3 in the final polls the year before AND was a preseason favorite to win the East.

OTOH, Tennessee was expected to go 4-8/5-7, made bowl eligibility for the first time in years, won 4 of its last 5, started a new QB with 5 games to go who was not only responsible for going 4-1 but also blew out Iowa. In the process, he looked like a star (Bama could not contain him and he outscored them in the second half launching a near-comeback -- he did not start that game).

That goes a long way towards the media being high on Tennessee and fans being thrilled about the future. We all saw an improved and well coached team DESPITE the OL.

I have to give respect to Spurrier for saying those types of things. He has been to the highest level of college football and no way would he hold a parade over winning a little 7 games.

No, his point is to deflect from the fact that he's been at that program for a decade and is no better off than two coaches that are in the early stages of rebuilding.

Being 0-4 against Muschamp eats Tennessee's fans asses up and I find extreme joy in that.

I'm sure if UT and Arky were 11-2 the previous year, they wouldn't be jumping up and down, like we aren't over our 7-6 season. But 7-6 seasons are worth being excited about for them. Nothing really to see there....

Sorry the media is stupid. We just lost the best QB in school history and the #1 draft pick. We had a 2* QB replacing that. We weren't winning the east last year, just like Tenn isn't winning it this year.

Not really. Y'all were still far more talented those days although many were in denial on 2 diff. years. Sure last year was a heartbreaker (I wanted to win BAD) but you were more talented and just killed poor Worley who wasn't too great to start with and our OL.

That said, you can take joy in our supreme lack of talent compared to you and recent suckage.

Wow....your comebacks are 2 years old, man. UF is 0-2 versus USC since that time, and Spurrier was 3-1 versus your former HC, but thanks for playing....

So you go from talking about one game 3 years ago to pulling the title card.

Bruh.
