Former Clem5on HC, Danny Ford, was at a function in November and said that Dabo would not beat Spurrier that year, b/c Spurrier was in Dabo's head. Sure enough, clem5on did not beat USC that year and this is further ammo for Dabo to cry about and for Ford to use on why Spurrier is in Dabo's head

Spurrier really is in Dabo's head.

I think he took up permenent residence when the rant Dabo went on was caused by something Spurrier didn't even say

Don't you guys remember "Free Shoes University?" Spurrier is the master of all trolls. He loves poking at rivals.

Plus, if you've ever heard Dabo, he thinks Clemson is the greatest program in the nation and that they are with the likes of Bama, ND, and Oklahoma as far as great tradition goes.

Is he supposed to trash Clemson or something?

I don't know. I have nothing against USCe (actually kind of like them over in the east) but count me as one who thinks Spurrier's rants have become increasingly laughable and sad. It was one thing when he was kicking arse at UF, but it just looks kind of pathetic when he is deep in a tenure where all he can really hang his hat on is getting his arse handed to him one year in Atlanta. But that's just my outside perspective. USC fans seem to love it and that's all that matters.

FWIW this is to get to Clemson psychologically and recruiting wise.

He's not just randomly throwing jabs. He's playing to the crowd by being in Clemson's heads. It's genius.

Maybe in this instance. But it seems he's in the news every couple of months for calling out whatever out of state school he is grumpy with at the moment.

Nope. Spurrier can hang his hat on the fact that he took an average program and has just graduated a senior class that won 42 games, three-straight 11-win seasons, three consecutive bowl victories and another top-10 finish. Plus, his record against his traditional rivals and modern rivals is something USC has never seen. *That* is why we love him.

We're getting frustrated that we haven't made it to Atlanta, despite beating the teams that have the last several years, but the fact that we're getting disappointed with 11 wins when it doesn't include a conference championship is proof of the job he's done.

If he had gone back to UF and only had one Eastern title then this would make sense, but you're an idiot if you don't think what Spurrier has done at USC is impressive.

And he didn't start throwing around zingers link it was the 90s until a few years ago when we started winning more. He was pretty quiet when he started at USC

This is just comically dumb. He's setting records damn near daily at USC. There's a reason "USC fans seem to love it," it's the best we've ever been. And it's all thanks to him.

You are absolutely correct. I know I oversimplified /understated the job he has done at USC. But you know, despite a historical lack of success, there is no reason USC can't be competitive on a high level. Your fans are just insane, plenty of nearby talent, and y'all seem to have the resources and commitment. I just never like that style (kiffin being the worst example) and it just seems extra silly when the one doing the talking isn't bringing in hardware.

Dabo deserves it. Even after he found out Spurrier didn't say it he still ranted this. The youtube vid is even better.

They told us they weren't interested. They were trying to punish us. They came crawling back like a ratings-poor garbage program. We reminded them of their words, and that we filled our schedule up based on those words.

So you are an idiot. Good to get that out of the way.

Kiffin is more like Dabo than Spurrier.
