I don't see the problem.

Stick to making up bullshite rumors. This is some of the dumbest shite I have read on this site in a long time, and I post on the Poliboard.

You're way late on this shite bro. This isn't the only thing Ron Morris has said that's pissed off Spurrier. It all started over a year ago when Morris claimed Spurrier poached Bruce Ellington away from the basketball team to play football. Ron literally made that up out of thin air. Among other things, he's a tater, and he sucks.

why dont you stop for a second and think before you call somebody and idiot?

His point clearly flew over right your head just as it apparently did with OBC b/c all you hear are the words Penn State and you freak out.

he wasnt saying OBC was going to do something like that.

he was saying HCs having so much power that nobody can question them is a bad thing b/c it can lead to terrible decisions that consider football first over student welfare.

like I said, using PSU was a bad analogy but his underlying message is true and OBC trying to get the guy fired for daring to critique him proves it.

Thank God! Somebody gets it.

this recent spat started b/c the guy dared to wonder if it was a bad decision to let Conner Shaw play a couple weeks ago in a gimmie game. OBC tried to cut off all press access over that.

like I said, using PSU was a bad analogy but his underlying message is true and OBC trying to get the guy fired for daring to critique him proves it.
I get the point, bro. You're saying he could've said OBC is like Hitler, he has too much power, and it still would've been a valid analogy.

Respectfully disagree. The press puts out whatever they want, inflammatory or not, and they have no accountability. This guy has apparently been trying to push Spurrier's buttons for a while.

SOS is fully within his rights to carve out somebody who he doesn't believe is fairly representing the team. It's not like he's totally shutting out the media...just one guy. It's his right to determine who he interacts with in the media.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I totally support SOS on this one.

if you got it then why do you bring up molesting kids when that clearly wasn't what he was trying to say?

So, Spurrier shutting out a certain media member is analogous to turning a blind eye to child rape?

You're an idiot.

Why? Is turnabout not fair play?

This guy gets to write what he wants and Spurrier isn't allowed to take the gloves off and exercise his own rights?

If that guy compared you to Joe Paterno, you wouldn't try to get him canned?

Because he compared Spurrier to a guy who covered up child rape. It doesn't matter what he was trying to say. That's what he actually said.

you missed it too I guess.

I already said the analogy was bad.

his point is still sound.

HCs should never have so much power that they can't be questioned. Period.

which he apologized for.

regardless of the poor comparison choice, that does not change that the underlying point was absolutely correct.

Why is that so difficult to accept?

So that means a Hitler analogy is still sound.

Or, I could say Texas A&M losing to Florida was like the Holocaust, because they were both bad.

From your perspective, these are valid analogies.

Thread HIJACK... But here is a quote, that should be on the UGA players minds......

Saturday Down South ?@SDS
"I liked playing Georgia in the 2nd game because you could always count on them having 2 or 3 key players suspended." -Steve Spurrier

His point not sound.

Spurrier should get Clowney to go whip his arse then tell the newspaper to fire him.

no.

they would be poor analogies that MIGHT somewhere deep down have a kernel of truth to them depending on what you are talking about. However, with your exact example, they would be wrong b/c you are just trying to come up with something outrageous.

come on now. you are just being a jackass now and coming up with horseshite straw man arguments.

The OBC is never out of line. He draws the line and everybody else can FO.

He's always been this way and I like that about him.

No, I'm not. You can find common threads between any two people. There is no real reason to compare Spurrier to Penn State, other than to slander him. Don't you get that?

So they should go ahead and question him, then. And he has the right to tell them to shove their questions up their arse. And Cock fans have the right to cancel subscriptions or alternatively call for Spurrier's head. And the paper has the right to fire Morris or alternatively lose money to prove a point.

He'll, we all have rights, man. They aren't just for newspaper hacks.

This MoRon garbage has been stewing for some time. MoRon even fabricated a story about Spurrier recruiting Bruce Ellington away from the basketball team. Then he got called on his lie, and he still stood by it. MoRon is a shock jock columnist, and Spurrier pwnes him.
