Whether you like it or not, it's what put the SEC on the map.

So let them play it. No one is saying they can't play if they want.

I love playing UF. It has 0 to do with not wanting to play UF in my eyes.

Then why does the vast majority of griping about the subject come from LSU fans?

Bama won't even insist on playing UT twice in the sports where UT is actually good.

Do what?

Because LSU was right in 1990 when they said the original plan wouldn't work. In 2001 everyone agreed with what LSU said would happen and changed it. It is going to happen again because LSU is correct again.

Idk. I'm simply saying it's a dumb rivalry.

You left out the biggest game of them all. Ole Miss's rivalry game.

Yep. I'd hate for that rivalry to end before Ole Miss is actually capable of winning it again.

I love the Alabama Tennessee game, but frankly if Tennessee continues to suck for much longer, then I would be fine with ending the permanent game.

That's why I want Tennessee to get good again.

The Head Ball Coach didn’t stop there, either. “Tennessee’s got Alabama, who’s been the best team the last three or four years, and that’s not fair for Tennessee to have to play those guys every year,” Spurrier said. “But I don’t know. Heck, that’s just sort of the way it is. The coaches … we don’t make the rules. We just try to coach our teams the best we can.

I don't see the Vols cowarding down from playing Bama right now. And you damn sure have never seen Bama want out of the UT game.

OBC is right, but life ain't fair, so whatever.

And some fan bases like the big games with big rivals even if it means a tougher schedule. Maybe UT fans like taking their arse beating each year in the hopes they might win one or be better in the future.

AU fans want Florida back even though it would mean a tougher schedule. That game used to be as big as AU/UGA and the SEC made an exception and let us have two permanent rivals for a decade.

It's mainly LSU fans who are afraid of playing UF annually.

It's not about us having a harder schedule, it's about a certain team perpetually benefitting from an easier schedule.

Well this isn't 1963 anymore. Tennessee will never again reach those heights. They can no longer use the "we're one of the only couple of teams that get on TV every week" card and their in state talent pool is very weak compared to other SEC teams. Tennessee is DONE. Just look at their last coaching search as proof, no big time program changer wants to go there even though they have been pouring money into their football facilities recently.

Oh and on top of all that who is the other east team bama gets? KENTUCKY! That's just pathetic.
