Got you now. Your original statement was confusing, which threw me off.

Its not downtown, but shite, you are 20 minutes from downtown Dallas and a little closer to downtown Fort Worth.

I'd rather Dallas than anywhere, but that is just a western Arkansas yokel talkin.

There are going to be 6 permanent bowls that the semifinals rotate between. The Rose, Sugar, and Orange had already been selected. The Cotton, Peach, and Fiesta now complete the 6. Each will host a semifinal every 3 years.

The final itself will be put up for bid and has absolutely nothing to do with the access bowls (that's what they are calling the 6)

The three sites used for the semifinal games are the Fiesta, Cotton, and Chick Fil A bowls.

The sites NOT chosen for the title game in any particular year host the semis.

this is inaccurate

Still doesn't make sense - if it's only b/t 3 bowls, then why did the OP list the Orange, Rose and Sugar as well?

I feel like the SEC is comfortable playing there.

I believe that we are still undefeated in Jerry World.

Alabama 1-0
Arkansas 4-0
LSU 2-0
Texas A&M 1-0*

SEC master plan comes into focus. We'll have 4 teams in this "new bcs" practically every year -- basically guaranteeing us the biggest piece of the pie.

the semifinals will rotate between 6 bowls, I only copied the Tweet that had the other 3. Rose, Sugar and Orange were already part of the rotation.

See LSU fans? Playing in the Chicken Bowl isn't so bad.

The SEC will not have tie-ins with the Cotton or CFA going forward. That doesn't mean we won't play there though as these will be at-large bowls with no conference affiliations.

There are people that think it is not a good bowl? Probably one of my favorite times for a game and normally a matchup I enjoy.

Got all that.

We've already got a tie-in with 2 of the 3 that have been announced "when they are not part of the championship every third year". We'll be in the Champions/Sugar every year. We'll be in the Orange most of the time IMO(highest ranked team available between the SEC, B1G, and Notre Dame).

Yet to see how we setup the tie-ins with the other 3, of which we've got 2 long-term pre-existing relationships, that I'm sure the Peach and Cotton will want to maintain if at all possible.

So, in a given year, we could have 2 in the playoff(for instance say it's the Peach and the Fiesta hosting those games). In that case, we still have another team in the Sugar every year, potentially 1 in the Orange, and potentially 1 in the Cotton...meaning we could place as many as 5 teams in the "new BCS" and would almost never have less than 4 -- if we retain preferential treatment if not tie-ins with the Cotton and Peach in the years they aren't in the playoff...

Glad it's became a big bowl. Atlanta will really enjoy that and deserves it.
