South Carolina already has a team
Kentucky already has a team

That leaves 12 schools not in the mix. Who would be the next to add soccer? Who would be the last?

Con - Fayetteville's Pride Parade will finally have some attractive people in attendance.

I can find no pro's for this.

As long as title IX is alive and well, for budget reasons you won't see men's soccer in the SEC for a really long time. The 12 schools would much rather finance their 200 mill in debt from so many expansions.

personally, I would love to see lSU discontinue its swimming program for men's soccer. Add some hot rich bitches in equestrian to replace women's swimming. Our swimming program is without question the worst program at LSU and will be for the foreseeable future

eta: plus there's a ton of great soccer talent in South LA that goes all over the country.

UF would likely be successful. Would like to add the sport.

Cons: We would all have to add another dumb arse womans sport

Pro: Maybe it will be a sport like beach volleyball where they play in bikinis.

I think for UF the next men's sport will probably be lacrosse. Already have the women's program and one of the best venues in the country.

I would like to see both added, but I know that is not likely to happen.

Yet TAMU has no team. Your logic seems flawed.

As for Arkansas, Westark had a really good soccer team in the 1970's as it was full of Iranian jet pilots who flew for the Shah of Iran. They trained at the base there and went to Westark for other studies.

A&M would instantly become a national power in soccer of we added it. Soccer is huge in Texas, there are a ton of fantastic club teams here.

Would love it. OM would be the perfect school for it too. That and Lacrosse.

So why does TAMU not have a team? TX is a huge pipeline for SEC gymnastics so if TAMU added gymnastics on the W side, seems like they would have the Title IX space for men's soccer.

Seems like a trade off

Indoor volleyball chicks have bigger boobs
Outdoor volleyball chicks have better tans

God is a damned prankster for making it work out that way.

I would love to see Mizzou pick up soccer. STL and KC pump out all kinds of talent and have done so for decades. Hell, even the kid that scored for Bosnia in their loss was from St. Louis.

So wat would it take? What is the political end from a Mizzou fan. I have always been surprised they did not have one long ago with their markets. Any backstory you might share here to educate the rest of us?

with volleyball and soccer and gymnastics, do women have more SEC sports than men?

Nope. Really don't know other than Title IX issues. I wonder if they would have considered dropping wrestling for it if the wrestling wasn't halfway successful.
