They know that. They are smart. It's just more fun to act like Miles handed each player a red Skittle and told them not to eat it if they thought Hill should be kicked off the team.

...a red Skittle.

False.

False.

He owes this school, this team this community his best behavior. He'll have further punishment. It will be internal and comprehensive, but we're going to see the whole person.'

He was suspended for all of the Spring and the first 2 games of the season, but if you want to believe Miles simply turned that decision over to the team, I've got a bridge to sell you.

quote:

An assistant coach for one team told the newspaper that when that team interviewed Mathieu, he was asked how many drug tests he failed in college.

"I quit counting at 10," Mathieu answered. "I really don't know."

quote:

Former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu is disputing a story by USA Today Sports regarding a quote attributed to him that came from an unnamed NFL assistant coach about failed drug tests.

"Anonymous assistant NFL coach" is hardly a trustworthy source.

Especially when he quotes one of your former star players saying he failed at least 10 drug tests

Obviously that particular NFL coordinator can't be trusted

And it didn't start snowing in Johnny's nose until he got to Cleveland, right?

Who knows? No one has ever implicated that he did coke in college.

You quote the "anonymous female cadet" that Paul Burka cites in his article in Texas Monthly that started the whole "jizz jar" nonsense as a "trusted source". You lost all ability to question validity there.

LINK

quote:

It's so awful, it's kind of funny. And while we knew this day was coming, we didn't know it would be quite like this. With Les Miles unable to muster the guts to say, "I did this."

Miles ducked behind his players, using them as a human shield, and left it up to them. Gamble? That was no gamble. They had a vote, but Miles knew what the result would be before he even looked at the ballot box. Still, he counted the votes. And guess what?

"It was a unanimous (vote)," he said.

Miles alluded to more punishment coming for Jeremy Hill. He said it would be "internal" but that it's none of our business.

Miles simply turned the decision over to the team. Period. You sound like a flat earther at this point if you're still denying it.

quote:

"It is irresponsible and shows a lack of integrity for anyone to disclose medical information regardless of how it was gathered," Mathieu said. "I would expect that conversations regarding my drug testing history during the course of my medical treatment would be private."

Tyrann's response to the 10+ drug test leak.

quote:

“I don’t really have the numbers there,” Miles said. “I would be remiss to comment on number. I can tell you this: We have tested, re-tested, completely tested and tested twice in weeks at times. So just because there’s a number reported, I don’t know if that would be low or high, to be honest with you, and I can only tell you that it was based on our ability to treat and help. I don’t really know exactly what Ty’s specifics were, but I stand by our policy, and it really did help, in some way, identify a problem.”

Les dancing around the number of tests he failed.

So let's just say the NFL assistant coach lied, and let's say that Tyrann and Les didn't deny the number for some other reason than it wasn't true. Acting like Les is a "fair disciplinarian" for finally kicking him off the team is still hysterical.

No, I don't trust "sources" that aren't willing to use their name.

NFL scouts are pricks. It's in their interest to drop prospects.

I'm not interested in debating Gregg Doyle's views. He is without impartiality, and can't be taken seriously on the matter.

Again, name another coach that has kicked a Heisman finalist off of their team.

I get it, you don't like LSU. I'm just trying to help you be a little more objective.

NFL assistant coach not scout

And Ty didn't deny it, just said he was upset that his information was leaked

According to the quotes above your post

Probably. Coke is expensive and he got first round money.

Makes sense to me.

You are missing a key point, but that's ok, some didn't know.

There is this thing at LSU called a Leadership Counsel, it's made up of well respected veteran players. It common for Miles to make a decision then send it to the counsel for discussion and possible vote.
There are many times he never even passes the issue on to the council, but there are times he does based on the situation. It's a thing called team building and accoutability. Fans of others teams love to bring it up as team vote. I giggle when uninformed individuals like yourself think its a negative.

There are few programs that have had the sustained level of success nationally and in this conference while running a relatively clean program compared to their peers.

Miles' methods and decisions on this should not be questioned based on his history LSU, but those that choose to can continue to be entertainment for the rest of the knowledable and objective.

Right, anyone who disagrees with LSU is "impartial." Got it. There sure are a lot of people that have a bone to pick with LSU.

Have there been any other players that have been arrested for drugs while still planning to return to the team after being a Heisman finalist?

I'd just like for LSU fans to be honest about their off the field issues. This whole acting like LSU is squeaky clean and condemning every other team from atop the ivory tower bit is getting old. At least A&M fans admit we offered Speedy all the weed he could smoke and a part time QB position to get him here.
