Sure the legalities of a criminal assault may look worse on a job application.
And in life. Verbal vs physical assault is not even close. Physical is always worse, especially when the verbal is with a superior who can reprimand you outside the law.

But I have a thin enough brain to realize that lots of college kids get into fights at bars, whereas most college kids don't cuss at their professors.
Dammit cas4t, you have already admitted that you got into bar fights so I can't say what I really want to say about it without being a dick to you.
So instead I will say that its cool your share a trait with our Aggie lord and savior JFF.

Bar fights are trashy, I know. But my SO is hawt so it's a constant struggle.
But cussing out a professor is trashier and will get you kicked out of school. A bar fight won't. unless it's a campus bar, which don't exist except for on Greek Row.

Put it to this way: If I have a son and he gets into a bar fight, he's in a lot of trouble. But if I have a son and I find out he cussed out one of his professors, and then was a little punk and wouldn't apologize, he's fricked and I'll feel like I fricked up as a parent.

Just the fact that TBird did this but not the other tells me no. He is like a classy barometer.

If my son got in a bar fight, and there is legal trouble, he is getting pulled from school. Period. That means he is hanging with a bad crowd, and he needs a SERIOUS attitude adjustment that only comes with moving back in with the folks and taking a semester at the community college. It is up there with a DUI for me, a DUI would be the same punishment. frick my pride or how ashamed I am, he is messing with his future and putting together a record that is hard to get rid of. I know a friend who has not gotten a few jobs because assault is on his record.
If my son cussed out a professor and I hear about it I would give him the option to write an apology letter or move back home. And he would HAVE TO drop the class if it was an option, and if that means retaking a core class tough shite. I would liken it to cussing at the preacher- embarrassing but not on the permanent record.
Especially since he was probably drunk WHEN he got in the fight, and was probably underage. The number #1 rule in my house is don't break two laws at once, so he would get extra punishment for breaking my cardinal rule.

Didn't he sucker punch a dude? I don't recall it being a "bar fight"...
Also no one has ever been kicked out of any university for cussing out a teacher.

Didn't aggies have like 13 or 14 players arrested last off season?
Yes, we won the fat guy cup last year. And most of those guys were kicked off or had real punishments (like skipped games).

And you guys want to keep talking about team vote
Only if you are going to make baseless accusations about our coach. I am not going to call out LSU on this topic, because that would be hypocrisy-aka a word apparently not in your dictionary.

On November 18, 1999, one of my professors threw a fit because of a student (cadet) missing class. When told it was one of the 12 who died in the collapse, he doubled down on stupid.
He deserved every bit of the cussing out he got.

You do know that Miles was only having the "vote" to see if the team wanted him back right? Do you really think Miles said no but the team vote decided it?
He has only kicked off a Heisman finalist and an SEC Championship game MVP in the past, so I'd say he's a fair disciplinarian.
Can't wait to see you guys cry when we make it 4-0 after you think Chavis was the missing link.

He never said yes or no, that's the point. He just let the team decide.

After failing at least 10 drug tests. All hail Les, king of the disciplinarians
