No, i think it would put you with 99% of the American population who also didn't watch a single minute of women's basketball

Bull shite! It's the main point. If they actually wanted to go, they should have been invited, but if they were going to use the invitation as some political statement (you can bet your arse the question was "unofficially" posed), then hell no don't ask them.

I agree ... if they even insinuate that they don't want to go ... then F'em ... don't invite them.

Wrong. Trump DID NOT start the USFL nor did he sign Walker. Trump purchased the NJ Generals AFTER the first season and AFTER Walker had already played a season.

Well to give Trump his due... he didn't start the USFL but he damn sure killed it.

Trump bought into the league in '84 and pushed them to run opposite of the NFL in the fall instead of playing in the Spring, which is what the league had been doing up until then.

His goal was to force a merger between the two leagues which would make his New Jersey Generals a NFL team with all the revenue associated with it. It was a bold gamble.

That blew up in his face and killed the USFL. It was gone with the wind by '86.

As to him not inviting the South Carolina women's team, its probably more a matter of the White House still trying to get organized after such a heavy turnover of personnel in his first year then a deliberate slap at USC.

Shouldn't USCe be inviting Moo St. to Columbia to thank them and give them a parade for doing what USCe could never do?

No, just no.

Getting away from the OP a bit, but if the WH is still trying to get organized months after the inauguration then there is an issue.

This is why there is a transition for 2 months before the inauguration. Systems are in place so that the changeover happens relatively easily.
