Our football program has had 174 arrests? I think you're quoting something or someone wrong here.

He's being facetious, jaywalking is far worse.

Key words. Both referring to arrests being reported AND players actually being arrested for the things they do.

This is the rant though, not sure why OP expected to get anything but trolls in here.

Post of the year.

For those counting at home, this means that UGA has had over 30 arrests per season. Damn impressive

In Columbia, jaywalking is way more dangerous than underage drinking.

All I can say is what I've seen while in student media at USC, a time period that began when Holtz was there, and ended under Spurrier. This idea that The State or Greenville News doesn't pay attention to the arrest reports in hopes of striking gold on a USC player is absolute horseshite. At the Daily Gamecock, we absolutely paid attention to the city and campus police reports, and we used to joke around about which papers' beat writers had already been by the police station for the arrest reports. Arrests were always reported as they came in, and there were informal competitions as to which paper could break the story the fastest.

There was, and has been, a significant difference between the way Holtz disciplined his players, and the way Spurrier has done so. There also has been a significant difference in the quality of person that has been recruited under each regime, with the notable exception of Garcia (who I don't think is a bad person, just a poor decision maker).

I tend to believe that the reason why UGA has a bigger reputation for arrests isn't so much because of the location of the school, or the opportunity to get in trouble, but the relative severity of the crimes when they happen. I don't give a crap about MIPs or jay walking, regardless of the school. But sexual assault (Mett), check fraud (just the other day), weapons charges (Crowell), etc., that's bigger news. And in the last four years, UGA has had arrests that fall into those categories.

The incidents you cite result in dismissals from the team which blows up the "Richt is soft on discipline" mouth breather talking point. Honest question: do you think Stephen Garcia would have been allowed to play football for UGA after keying a professor's car?

Marshall Morgan was handed double the suspension for BUI that Jeremy Hill was.

Hey sick em and jdawgstanguy this is just the ticket you needed. Now run on over to the dawghouse and make a prediction thread for USC arrests and then you won't have to cry about what USC does on their board.

Hell I'm sure ol jefferson dawg will be more than happy to lead the charge for you since his whole yeti kooler and goatee thing didn't work out for him.

Then one of you two buttlickers can RA for a sticky and the dogpound can play along. More than likely though, that bunch of self hating closet auburn fans over there will just eat each other alive with conspiracy theories and self mutilating threads.

The food at Darla’s Snack Shoppe appears simple, but the flavors have remarkable depth. Darla's is known best for its range of fruit pies, including apple, blueberry, rhubarb, and peach, and the reputation is well deserved. The fruits are harvested from local organic farmers, and the pies are served warm with fresh homemade vanilla ice cream crafted with real vanilla beans. A host of other goodies, including brownies, cookies, and candies, line the shelves, offering something for the whole family. The shop is both clean and tidy—despite having limited space and more customers than can fit inside at one time—and all the staff members there greeted my companions and me with smiles as warm as the pies they serve there. I would thoroughly recommend Darla's Snack Shoppe to anyone with a sweet tooth. I know I'll certainly be returning soon.
