If you pull their records for everything you can see Steve in the lead on that point, but Richt is a lot closer than you would believe.

I would also bet that if you switch teams (Spurrier at UGA and Richt and USCe)....UGA would have won at least 1NC by now and Richt would have been fired at USCe.

The fightn spurriers have us right where they want us.

It's Spurrier's Super Bowl....but you can't be SB Champs every year.
UGA wins big......real big.

UGA doesnt beat SC down, but its bound to happen one day in the next 100 years.

Steve dials up one game every year where USC reaches a level it doesn't see again and unfortunately that game is us.
For as long as I have been following The Gamecocks we have played up or down to our competition in most cases.
I disagree though, with the UGA fan who claimed UGA has had the better team seven of the last eight seasons. Obviously that has not been the case.
The better team usually wins this game and that's pretty much been the case this entire millennium.

they do not have as good of a shot at upsetting us as Abalama does...

I havent seen anything from USC that scares me.
However:
-UGA's lackluster QB play so far
-The way the refs have been treating us
-Spurrier's history coming into this game as an underdog and tearing shite up
This is anybody's game.

2007 2008 2009 2010 had some good SoCar teams. In fact I was surprised the 2010 team didn't win the SEC

If South Carolina wins, the line (15.5) will suggest an upset. But to everyone in the SEC and especially in Athens, it will be about Spurrier once again having UGA’s number. I’m not confident at all. It’s sad, South Carolina may have a better QB situation. It will be close game either way.

We either get crushed (likely) OR somehow win a close one, giving me confidence that will be lost in subsequent weeks. Both scenarios suck, pick your poison.
Basically this.

I have loved this game over the last several seasons, but I am expecting a comfortable win for the dawgs.

the last 8 games. Even at 2-2 in Athens. UGA beat Vandy 31-14, scored TDs on a 77 yard punt return and a 88 yard INT return. UK-USC was very close, and UK is much better than Vandy. Chance of USC upsetting UGA Saturday?
Less than zero chance, Chubb is going to set an ncaa rushing record on yall. In fact i doubt yall ever beat us again, ever.

I just read that this is the second largest spread in the series since 1965. First was -18.5 in 2005
We won 17-15.....I'm staying away from this one

I wouldn't counter that way. I would counter that you also lost to LSU and Florida. You beat us a like a yard dog in 2012, but if you say your LSU and/or Florida game was a fluke then we would say our game with you was a fluke. Who knows, really? It's all speculation. Both have had some pretty good teams the past few years.
About 1/4 of the team had the flu the week of the LSU game and about that same number the following week vs Fla. "Injuries" happen, but that fact wasn't widely known/remembered about that year. Now the HBC makes the whole team get a flu shot preseason.

Wow.
When I saw that spread, I was thinking, this has to be the biggest dog we have been in 10+ years. Maybe longer.
