I'd say 2012 too, but they will just counter that they went to Atlanta and we didn't.

Spurrier is 5-5 against UGA at Carolina. It only feels like he's beat the shite out of us because we won 80% of the matchups prior to his arrival.

When UGA fans look back on the stellar, Heisman Trophy-winning career of Nick Chubb, it will be to highlights of him literally running over our faces that they will reflect upon.

2012 would be a toss up for me even if that game was an epic arse whipping. I think we were a better team but an argument could be made either way.

I might use that as a sig quote. My very first.

It might actually be their chance to show us how they felt when Lattimore carved them up.

They more I think about it, the more I think there is 0% chance we win.
I would venture a guess that a "walk on" qb has never won at UGA for the first ever start.

I'd give UGA around a 55-60% chance to win. I'm fairly confident that we'll win a close game, but it would not surprise me one bit to see USC just use Cooper all game and gut our defense.
I fully expect 8-9 guys in the box all game and they'll force Greyson Lambert to open up their D (gulp). With the tackling issues we've seen, I hope we can utilize McKenzie, Godwin, Michel, and Mitchell on short routes and try to break a tackle or two that will lead to big gains. I don't see Lambert being able to keep his feet still enough to really push the ball downfield on a deep route.

That's about where I'm at. I was ready to claw my eyes out after watching Thompson complete anything and everything he wanted to over the middle last year and I'm trying to stay optimistic that it won't happen again.

You guys had a great team that year and certainly beat the daylights out of us, but I honestly think that beating woke up our team and we began to play MUCH better football as the year went on. That was a fun year.
As for the game Saturday, I fully expect it to be a close game. As others have stated, records and talent go out the window when UGA plays Spurrier. It will be close and he will throw the kitchen sink at us but I do believe that we will walk out with a win. I think our offense picks things up a little this week and our defense makes enough stops. I am really curious to see how the backup QB does for USC. I watched him a little bit during the UNC game and he looked pretty good, maybe better than Mitch?

At the very least South Carolina will make it interesting. Orth looked good in the 2nd half and was hitting Cooper in decent coverage. I'm interested in seeing how he does as I'm assuming Mitch won't play due to the shoulder injury.
On the flipside, our RBs put up around 200 yards on their defense so that'll be something to watch as well.

This is what I'm feeling. I'm pessimistic due to:
- It being the HBC, whom always seem to conjur up some magic against us
- Our QB position is up in the air. The guy we have now may be better pre-snap, but once the ball is snapped he looks gun shy. It appears he's afraid of the pass rush. I haven't seen him consistently stay in the pocket and step into his throws.
- Our O-lines struggles with run blocking (this could be due to stacked boxes)
- ^ Coupled with Nick Chubb's ankle
Why I'm optimistic:
- Its at home
- Our front seven have been playing lights out (albiet against inferior teams so far)
- SC is starting a back up QB (I heard that on the radio, is that right?)

I don't think it will happen, but it would be the most Spurrier thing ever to walk into Athens with a walk on QB and come out with a win.
Too bad he is old and washed up, but imagine the potential for that post game presser.
42-17 UGA

Both scenarios suck, pick your poison.
Well, if you are letting us pick.....I pick crushing you.

I wouldn't counter that way. I would counter that you also lost to LSU and Florida. You beat us a like a yard dog in 2012, but if you say your LSU and/or Florida game was a fluke then we would say our game with you was a fluke. Who knows, really? It's all speculation. Both have had some pretty good teams the past few years.

Lattimore was a best. Seemed to be a genuinely good kid. Hated to see his injuries....he should have had a great NFL career.

I don't think SC will win, but you better believe I got in on them at +16. That line was nuts.
