First year QB. Seven or eight new starters on defense. Talent is good, but not even the best in the west.

I just don't get the Auburn blowjob. This is not gonna end like their fans want it to.

The Athletic Department offers to pay them to write sunshine articles.

While it is a first year QB, he has played and started games and did well. Then you add in one of the brightest minds in offense in Malzahn and the inclusion of Muschamp for the D.

That combination is the reason Auburn is getting some love this year. We will see in about a week.

Auburn sales, regardless of it is good news or bad news...

Also, by putting us high they can continue with the Auburn does not do well when arbitrary high expectations are set..

Auburn is going to be good, but they've lost their last four games against teams not named Samford.

Of course that was last year, but if anyone can show me a recent example of a team on that type of losing streak ranked this highly I'd love to see it.

I predict 9-3, which considering their schedule would definitely make them a good team, just not top five worthy.

It is odd but it is awesome because the melt will be fun.

Gus is going to end up cursed by his year of miracles because he'll never come close to achieving it again.

Good team, good talent, good stadium, largely favorable schedule, good coaching, their rotund quarterback looked good in limited snaps. There is a lot to like there. Why do people have trouble seeing this? I'm not sure they will win the west, but they will contend, of that I am certain.

Well they have arguably one of the best offensive minds in the game and have one of the best defensive coordinators in the game and lots of talent. What's not to like other than they're Auburn.

I like that LSU fans are leading this "AU letdown" movement. Makes me feel better because 1) LSU fans are generally really stupid and 2) there was all that hype about AU and this helps to settle everything down.

Probably because they hired a good defensive coordinator, when defense was their apparent achilles heel last year.

Yeah, I tend to agree with that. Muschamp is a tad overrated, but he'll be better than Johnson was. Their defense will be better, while the offense won't be as good, so I see them being about the same as last year, maybe better if they get some of the good bounces they got in 2013.
