some would consider minor indiscretion. Bluntly, he slept with one of his patients and has now lost his license to practice. The reportedly contentious medical review board made an example out of him.
So 7 years of medical training (or basic ethics) didn't impart that he shouldn't sleep with his patients?
Probably a good thing he's not going to be a doctor.

its easy to be got w/how many idiots on this board would have actually defended a doctor sleeping with his patients.

Yes. And being a vet barely matters to that crowd

I am not a doctor but I am a lawyer. In the legal profession, in most jurisdictions, an attorney is subject to discipline if that attorney sleeps with a client that the attorney was not already sleeping with prior to representation. I believe that there is a rule similar to this one in a number of professions because a doctor, lawyer, or other professional usually assists clients/patients at a time in their lives when they are vulnerable. I hate SJW culture as much as the next guy, but I fail to see how this situation qualifies.
A real example of egregious social justice warrior policy would be how Title IX departments on university campuses are presently denying young men who are accused of sexual assault due process. Currently on college campuses the witch hunt against young men is real. And the administration often sides with the female making the accusation without allowing the accused to present evidence in his favor.
However, the example I just gave is different than the specific instance you stated because an ethical duty to not sleep with clients has existed in a number of professions for some time. If your friend's son was allowed to present evidence on his behalf, and it was found that he did in fact sleep with his patient, there's really nothing unjust about taking away his license. In law school, learning that it is inappropriate to sleep with clients where a prior sexual relationship was not established is literally the first thing you learn in your legal ethics course.

It was a nice try but medical school is different than vet school. I will give you a pass on this one. As a Bama fan you probably know very little about higher education and that’s ok.
