Parks Frazier the Interem OC for the Colts is a Mississippi boy.

Too young at this point but he's going to be a good coach.

There are a lot of good suggestions here, especially Gary Patterson and Dana Holgorsen. Without a doubt, that is the best solution.

But lets assume that its a decision that the school wants to postpone until an AD is in place, yet they need a coach for 2023 with the understanding the guy is there for one year and he has to retain 90-100% of the current staff. There is one guy that comes to mind when you consider interim coaching and recruiting the area. Ed Orgeron. With $17M in the bank, he is unlikely to be wanting a major college head job and he would have to agree to let the staff continue in their current role and is there to ONLY act as an executor so to speak for a transition year.

Realistically, I don't think it comes to this, and you are better served getting a long term guy hired.

I don't really want either, but I'd take Patterson. I'd much rather get someone younger and on the rise. Someone like Garrett Riley at TCU.

This isn't like a Mike Price scandal that takes him down. These players just had heir head coach die. They need some stability, and keeping Arnett and the rest of the coaching staff will do just that.
Very well said.

It's tough to have make these decisions right now, but I would go with Arnett as HC and Spurrier Jr as OC.

Would state fans take back Dan Mullen? He's available.

He did a hell of a job at State. If I were State he'd be my first call.

I'd like to see it too. Mullen and State are a great fit.

Simply put: frick no. Mf somehow got even worse at recruiting when he went to UF. I'm also not into taking back exes that have spurned us. I don't blame him for leaving, but we need to have a little dignity as an institution.

I would rather Leach’s grand kids run our program than that yankee piece of shite dan mullen ever stepping foot on our sidelines again.

This does concern me

In the scheme of the history of MSU football, we are in the most consistent era and that’s been since Dan came in. Credit to him for building that and to the department for sustaining it.

However right now we have offensive players who fit a totally different scheme. Do we want to rebuild our O again or find someone who fits the current system?

I say keep the staff and talk to them on what they want to do. Who wants the jobs, who wants to stay, and will it work. If they are in unison on what needs to be done then keep them, bump up Arnett, and fill in any positional personnel. They earned it and Leach has built a hell of a staff. Let’s give them a chance.

There is one man that has the balls and the system that could fill Leach’s shoes at State. He’s been out of the conference for too long.

Now is the time to welcome him back.

Do it Mississippi State. Ring them cowbells and HIRE FREAKIN HAL MUMME!!!

Dana Holgorsen.

Random thought but he should really create an offensive set called the Dana 44 ( after the truck axle)

I’m thinking something crazy where you have 4 receivers and 4 linemen instead of 5. 3 receivers on the line of scrimmage. OL you have the center with 3 lineman to the wide side of the field. Weak side has only a tight end that’s off the line of scrimmage. 3 receivers on the wide side, one on the short side. QB and RB out of the gun.

At the snap QB rolls to the wide side, weak side TE blocks then realeases. Weak side receiver runs vertical 10 yards then slants across to draw the secondary out. RB blocks the weak side to protect QB. TE should be wide open on a wheel route if the LBs and OL shift to the wide side and follow the QB. Assuming the RB protected the back side QB should stop and throw back to the TE.

Other 3 receivers can do a combo of different things. If the LBs and OL do not shift the QB can opt to keep it and run to wide side of the field. Need a mobile QB to make it work. ETA one of these 3 receivers would be ineligible so would either serve to block for QB if he keeps it or set up for a screen/pass behind the LOS

I know Cohen kinda sucks, but man does this hindsight make it look so much worse for him screwing y'all over. What a mess of a situation to be in without an AD.

Won’t be hearing any trash talk coming from me for the foreseeable future, although I really had stopped trashing State almost entirely ever since Leach was hired anyway.

It's coaching changes season. At least look at the landscape for a couple of weeks. No reason to jump to an interim is there?

You have to be fricking kidding.

Like Cohen is some Nostradamus and knew this would happen.

The only reasonable solution that Leach would want IMHO:
