Brando gets updyke panties all in a wad. It's pretty entertaining.

How is that possible? Verne is horrible while Gary is one of the best commentators around.

His gets wadded more. He got owned on the radio last yr by call ins, and he had Shane from Centerpoint so far in his head, he brought him up on his own show.

I liked Ron Franklin. ESPN did him the wrong way.

He was one of the best.

Ditto. Is he working right now?

Heck, I wish the Hogs would hire him for PBP.

I never want Verne to leave if it means Brando taking over.

If Verne is traded out for Brando, Gary's gone too.

Those two won't get along or won't have any chemistry in the booth together.

Both are know-it-alls. Gary is a gentleman about it. Brando is a dick.

So who replaces Gary?

If Brando gets the gig, look for the LSU suckfest to begin in earnest.

Why?

I think Danielson is one of the better color guys in the business. He's generally pretty spot on with his commentary, and he doesn't strike me as a guy who carries a bias mostly because he's a Purdue grad.

I've never quite understood the distaste for GD.

Why would anyone want Verne to retire? He's a good dude.

Gary Danielson fricking calls plays before they happen at least 5 or 6 times a game. He's pretty much unmatched. Verne drools on himself and chortles all game. He's old, i dont hold it against him but its a fact. Anyone who says Verne > Gary surely is joking. If not i question their intelligence.

Gary is tolerable and somewhat ok. I don't detect bias in him at all. I just get aggravated when something obvious happens, and he gets it wrong. Like in the 2009 SEC CG, a FG attempt hits the upright, a Fla player catches it off the deflection and starts running. He had no clue that it wasn't a live ball. He and Verne were asking each other if it was returnable. No excuse for that lack of knowledge. He's missed other things as well that should have been no brainers.

Gary always sounds like he's pulling against Bama and whenever we score he points out what the other team's D did wrong and then when they score, he talks about what a great call it was and how good the offense looked on the play.

Can't stand the count.
