You're an LSU fan he fricking loves you guys, that's why you like him.
The whole Bama-Aggie game all he talked about was Johnny.
When Tebow was at UF, he was like Madden with Brett Favre. Unbearable.

Gary always sounds like he's pulling against Bama and whenever we score he points out what the other team's D did wrong and then when they score, he talks about what a great call it was and how good the offense looked on the play. Can't stand the count.
Jesus dude. So you're admitting you don't like Gary because he doesn't suck Bama off like Verne? Wow

Jesus what's wrong with you LSU fans, how do you not like Vern?

No he is just objective. He doesn't have an affinity for LSU like Verne does Bama

Oh the best player on the field all day? Poor McCarron

because vern is old and clueless 90% of the time. He was good during his prime but he's clearly overstayed his welcome. He needs to just retire and enjoy the rest of his life.

would love to buy Brando for what he's worth and sell him for what he thinks he's worth. I'd retire the same day.

Gary annoyed the hell out of me during the Tebow era, but now that Tebow's gone, I've come to fully appreciate him. He's probably the best color man on TV.

Johnny is his new Tebow. Don't worry he'll be calling the game with the Aggies for you later on and you'll see his just transferred his man-love to Johnny.
I don't care that he didn't talk about AJ, but when Bama has the ball and they are moving, STFU about Johnny. That's all.
Gary just likes to hype whoever is hot most of time.
I mean before the UF game last weekend he said UF is the most underrated team in the country, yeah he's great.

Gary is really good, and it would take awhile to sound like the big CBS game without the two of them. Verne isn't so bad yet that I'm rooting for him to retire. He wears thin because he has to harp on the obvious star players for a broad audience tuning in, and for viewers like us who follow the storylines constantly it gets to be too much.

liked Ron Franklin. ESPN did him the wrong way.
He was one of the best.

I totally agree...great voice. He and Danielson would make a very good pair.

Verne and Mustburger are both cut from the same cloth. Verne was primarily an NFL guy who also did some NBA for Turner and college basketball for CBS(plus golf) who came to college football late, but today we know him as the voice of the SEC.
Mushmouth started as an NBA guy who also made a mark on the NFL Today and college basketball, did a little college football for CBS in the 80s, went to ABC, served as a host for various sports, plus did some college football on the side with Vermeil, then when Keith Jackson retired, he stepped into that role, first with Danielson and now with Herbie, and has become for a whole generation as another voice of college football.
No one under 30 knows those 2 guys for anything other than college football primarily.
Not sure if they would give that gig to Brando. CBS has some good up and comers on the NFL side, like Ian Eagle. He is not going to surplant Nantz or GG anytime soon, so I could see CBS doing that. Or how about Kevin Harlan..he kind of sounds like Verne a little.

How is that possible? Verne is horrible while Gary is one of the best commentators around.
Gary is an overly negative know it all.
He is a Jesse Palmer that talks less.
