Well quarterback recruiting has never been his strong point
The recruiting hasn't been the issue. It's development & keeping them on campus that has been the issue. Where Miles deserves criticism when it comes to his overlooking the need of having an actual, legit QB coach on the staff. Just because someone is an OC, doesn’t mean they are capable of developing QB's. Miles didn't seem to understand this for a few years.

Crowton and Studrawa coaching QB's.
Crowton was good early on but he burned out when he began overloading the offense with too many plays & audibles. That's why he's coaching now at Southern Utah. Stud was entirely too simple in his play calling & did nothing to develop quarterbacks. He should have replaced or demoted after that one season in which he was only promoted because of unfortunate circumstances.

Do you get butthurt when your team beats the supposed #1 team in the country in their house?
I don't.

You're still bitching about something an opposing coach said before a game your favorite team won in 2007.
Yes, you are butthurt.

I'm not bitching about it, I just remember it, because like I said it was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen a HC at a major program do, and that was related to the OP's question.
You tend to remember things like that.
I don't think you should let my opinion of your coach get to you so badly.

Personally I think the most unprofessional thing I've seen a HC at a major program do is crash his motorcycle and put his side bitch in the hospital.

My comment was within the confines of their professional behavior.
If you wish to extend that to their personal behavior I would have to go with Joe Paterno protecting a child rapist, but maybe you don't have a problem with that.

He's a great coach, probably my favorite at LSU in any sport. In an age of homogenized coach speak, of which Saban and Belichick are masters, he's genuinely goofy which I find endearing. I don't think he's stupid by any means, just not great in front of a camera.
When I was a student Curley Hallman was the coach at LSU. I've seen terrible coaching up close. Miles can be stubborn and frustrating but he recruits like a mfer and wins a ton of games. I'll miss him when he's gone.

Really? Saying Ar-Kansas was the most unprofessional thing you've ever seen a HC do?
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen anyone post on this board. Congratulations, you're a fricking moron.
It's particularly funny coming from an Arkansas fan considering what happen back in 2012......

He's the owner of the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen a HC at a major program do in a press conference before a game which was to intentionally mis-pronounce the name of the state he was getting ready to play.
That's absurd hyperbole even by the low standards of this board

Do you realize how common an enunciation that is in the mid-west?

In the context of their job professionally, yes really.
It was the best bulletin board material I've ever witnessed and it came from a coach and not a player.
The coach's job is to motivate his players, not the opposing teams players, but that is what Miles did and it cost lsu an undisputed championship.
That's pretty big.
Give me an example of a worse one?

Well, just for starters, how about the HC who hired a Student he was smashing in an adulterous relationship, then wrecked his motorcycle with her in tow, and then tried to lie about it to everyone, including the AD.
The fact you're still arguing this is hilarious. You truly must be a mental midget.

Yes I do.
It's not common at all.
I had never heard it up until that press conference and I'm sure that was the reaction of 99% of fellow Arkansans.
There are not multiple correct ways to pronounce the various states in the union.

You're a lot better talker than you are a listener aren't you?
You'd make someone a fine ex wife.
It's in the context of their professional career, not their personal life.
Catch up dude or does that just mean you can't think of one?

I'm also a fan of Les.
LSU and UT don't play each other enough for me to care much one way or another about the program but I've always been a Miles fan.
The '05 LSU collapse against the Vols at home - at night - helps. :)

Getting involved in an adulterous relationship with someone who works with and/or for you falls under a person's "professional career" you fricking dolt.
