Yes, but unless you realistically think an unranked team somehow gets ranked after a loss then that's irrelevant. Either way, this is pointless. IMO, current rankings are going to matter and I don't see LSU making up enough ground to pass AU, especially when AU owns head to head. Have whatever opinion you want to have, though.

There is no way a 7-4 LSU team goes to the Sugar bowl

They would have to leapfrog UF/AU both who'd have 8-4 records and beat LSU H2H

LSU probably wouldn't even be a sure bet over 8-4 UTk given UTk has better wins and more of them

Correct. LSU did fall 1 spots by losing to Alabama 10-0.

So our backup QB and RBs scored 12 more points than LSU?

Just how fricking bad an offense is Yaw Yaw running? shite is worse than Les

Except for our starter who has been hurt for the past month.
Maybe your new coach (chuckle) will invest a scholarship in a FG kicker.

Without reading all 5 pages this late, does the S.Bowl not have to take the next highest ranked team if the League champ goes to the playoffs? If germans, sorry.

I just think the thing LSU fans are trying to convey is this:

Of course we realize having 4 losses doesn't make us think we deserve the sugar bowl

The only reason some think it's possible is this:

1. They don't choose teams based on resumes. It simply goes to the highest ranked SEC team after playoff

2. We are assuming LSU climbs back into the poll somewhere in the 20's

3. Also assuming UF losing tonight and to Bama next week knocks them out of the rankings

4. When we lost to Bama by 10, we got dropped 10 spots in the polls. IF that were to happen to auburn, you can see why people are saying it could be close

5. As previously mentioned, the amount of upsets and teams in the teens who lost today make it very unlikely Auburn falls as many spots as LSU did post Bama losses. Which makes Auburn the most likely to get the Sugar Bowl

Steele has done a great job. Thanks, I guess.

Are you serious with this? Do you have any clue how improved this defense is this year?
I'm sorry that I even engaged you in an argument if you don't know that much at least.

100% Auburn is the favorite. But I don't even know if it's a rule that the highest ranked team goes I'm just assuming that it is. I'm not saying this would happen but they might consider LSU as well based on ticket sale $. So who really knows.

I gave AU fans as much shite as anyone when they hired Kevin Steele but their defense has been great this season. Best defense I've seen against Bama this season.

To use Steele as some putdown is ignorant.
