WTF is happening is this damned thread. Everyone must be joking. The next thing I'll read is nonsense about how sauce is better than dry rub...
Idiots.

I'd eat a bbq'd turd before believing that arkyland is a BBQ hub. I've figured out this thread. I get it. This is all a joke. I'll laugh at all of the delusion in here b/c it's all a joke.......right?

Seriously. As if this is a bad thread compared to the rest of the stuff on pg 1.
Fayetteville does have good BBQ, IMO.
Strangely, when I was a little kid and my parents would take me to football games here, I remember the smell of BBQ being something I associated with Fayetteville. Coming up the hill near B&B on 71, and crested the hill at north and Garland and smelling Fat Toney's. BBQ wasn't something I smelled a lot of growing up.

For that bull shite beef BBQ, maybe.
We do the pig just as good as anyone and we do the beef head and shoulders above anyone. "Bull sh*te beef"? That reeks of jealousy.

Dude. We are situated between Kansas City, Memphis and Texas.
We have always had BBQ of all kinds, coming at us from all directions.

Nope. I have lived in Texas since 1980 and can testify that you cannot get Bar-b-q anywhere in the state. You can get some smoked meat with a tasty (but spicy tex-mex) sauce on it. But, true molassess based bar-b-q. No way.

I will stand up for the BBQ brisket at Angelo's in Fort Worth any day.
Its tits, in beef form.

Which means you're influenced by the best...by us. Arky BBQ is nowhere near the best. It may be good, but then again any Joe schmoe can mak good BBQ. Not great.

There are some good things in Fayetteville, but BBQ is not one of them. All those places listed suck.

Spicy tex-mex sauce? Where the hell have you been eating? I have never heard of that, and I am a BBQ connoisseur. SOunds like something they would serve at Chili's or something.
How is smoked brisket not BBQ???

Never put pussy on a pedestal. Lesson learned.

Isn't all that shite up in mz sweet? F that noise.
I'll agree that these fools saying beef is shite are doing it wrong. I bet they eat mass produced sausage too.
If the bbq joint doesn't make their own sausage, and offer dry rub BBQ, it sucks. I don't mind adding sauce as a side, but if your meat is done wrong, you might as well boil it and slather it with your shitty sauce.
Like putting steak sauce on a perfectly good cut of NY Strip or a Tbone. IT is a SIN!

I think Tiger Stadium has the best BBQ, hands down. Especially at night!
But it's so-so in the daytime and was simply awful before 2000.

No sauce. Dry rub all the way. Enjoy the flavor of the meat...not the sauce. I agree.
But missouri's stuff isn't sweet. frick that.
FWIW, Texas BBQ is done to perfection. They get it. Most of the South doesn't.

Springfield, MO is on there. It might as well be Fayetteville North so we basically have two cities on the list.
