I wasn't aware this thread was about being the best pro prospect?

And no one in here claimed that Buddy was a better pro prospect anyways, so I'm sure what is getting these guys so riled up

Simmons is a much more versatile player than Griffin, can simply do more with him.

Want to know how I know you don't watch Blake that often? Let me guess you think he can only dunk right?

Simmons can ball handle better, Blake has a better mid range game. Then again it's hard to say because Simmons never settles for jumpers. He'll be as good or better than Blake in year one

Jesus tapdancing christ

Didn't you say you are an NBA fan?

There might be a reason for that.

Blake might be the best ball handling big in the NBA

He's the best pro prospect by far.

I've seen this about football players for L5U before, seems like a common thought process for the L5U fan base.

Forgot how often Blake brings the ball up in the NBA and just drives the lane. One occassionally brings it up on a fast break, one handles the 80-90% of the time and sets up the offense

In the playoffs last year against the Rockets when Paul was hurt, Blake was the PG. He ran the offense.

He's definitely the best talent and has the highest ceiling. Buddy is playing the best and that has a lot to do with age. If Simmons came back next year he'd dominate at an unreal level.

And you don't want your superstars to lack confidence, especially in basketball.

Its not like Tim Quarterman is saying he's the best player in the country or something . He very well could be right.

I would vote for BH as POY and I would say Simmons is the best pro prospect.

One plays in college and the other doesn't. Please explain how Simmons will be better than Blake in year one.

Agreed. It is a fact that LSU has one of the most clueless fan bases in the country. Personally I KNOW that Ben Simmmons is not ready for the NBA and even if he was it has nothing to do with his play at LSU. If all Simmons is at LSU for is to get to the NBA then why should I care? I dont see this greatness in Simmons that some of these fans do.

He's not ready but you know he's gone after this year. Maybe he'll take Johnny with him.

I'm going to ignore what every pro scout and analyst says about the kid and go off of what a poster in the rant thinks. He is 19 years old and you people act like he will be who he is forever. His game is better suited for the NBA than college. If he develops a jump shot, which he will in a few years, he will be a very good player. Will he be the best ever? Probably not but he will be a perennial all star player with the UPSIDE to be a great player. Upside is what the NBA draft is all about. They aren't drafting 19 year old Benny Simmons they are drafting 24-28 year old Ben Simmons.

Tyler Ulis is on the verge of breaking a 40 year old UK assist record. When you consider some of the guards UK has had in the past, that's pretty impressive. And I'd take him as SEC POY.

How is he not NBA ready? Literally nobody in this years class is NBA ready then. He doesn't shoot jumpers because he doesn't need to. I'm sure it needs work,
But even if he could shoot why? He can get to the rim at will or post up and draw a foul every time. Whoever drafts him will work on his jumpshot during the offseason because he literally has displayed evey skill set except shooting. Within 2-3 years he'll be a top 10 if not 5 player.

I don't disagree with his mentality.

But he probably shouldn't say it right after a loss, and Buddy is a better COLLEGE player. Simmons might be the most talented, but Hield is playing better ball than he is

I like his attitude and confidence within himself, he's a really good player and a future no doubt NBA player. But I'd still take Buddy Hield as POTY atm.
