For as smart as people say McElroy is he sure dose not sound like it. That may be true for the first three years but anything after is because of Miles.
By his logic USC should still be good because of Pete as well as the Miami Dolphins because of Saban.

I'm just talking about the bizarre need for some to discredit Les. I mean in a way it's kind of flattering because if he really is just an average coach living off Saban then can you imagine how good LSU will be when he's gone and we get a real coach in here ???

Finebaum and McElroy will fit in well together.
Your doing exactly what McElroy wants you to do, talk about it now, build up momentum a month before SEC network launches and then tune right in. My guess is LSU alums Spears and McFarland will come out next with something to volley back and forth with and it's instant tv watching. I'm not biting!

DGAF

tGOAT coached at LSU, brought us some success, and I'm glad he did. And I'm thankful.

As I said on the TR, who gives a frick? IDC if it's Satan himself that brought LSU success, I'm just glad it happened.

What GM said doesn't take anything away from Les. Saban won a championship here, and it put LSU in a unique position.

Les came in and kept the momentum going, with 1000 X more pressue than Saban had. He deserves credit as well.

Les is responsible for McElroy's success as an NFL QB.

I can. I remember when Saban was LSU's coach.

I hated your school and Nick with a passion
b/c y'all were ruthless and great.

Loved it when he left for Miami.

But not as much as I loved it when Nick came to Tuscaloosa.

If Bama didn't have so many busts, we wouldn't have to hear from them on the networks.

Imagine had Saban gone to a top 16 NFL team..he'd still be there and bama would've probably gone through at least 2 coaches in the meantime

Saban was our coach a decade ago. He deserves no credit for any "on-going" success LSU has today.

You're damn right. Alabama sucked. We would still suck. Auburn and LSU would still kick our arse every year just like the early to mid 2000's

Miles saved us from tDecline. We went from a title winning season to a 3 loss season including a bowl loss against Iowa with Saban. 2005 with Saban could have been bad.

I agree with that. But Saban certainly deserves credit for pulling us out of the mud. I don't know why some LSU fans have an issue with that.

I wasn't trying to flame at all but I think you understood that. No college coach would've survived in Miami.

Saban deserves credit for the success LSU had while he was here. After that, well Les gets the heat and credit for that.

this kind of crap though kinda sets up what the SECN is gonna be to start, hot shite

Well, McElroy's right.

LSU would still be wallowing in mediocrity if they hadn't hired Saban from the B1G

I agree. Mark Emmert deserves a lot of credit too. He had a vision for LSU athletics and Saban was part of it.

I know what u were saying. And Nick catches a lot
of shite for Miami, but he really didn't do that bad of a job there.

The next coach won one game in Miami.
They were a terrible club.

Les Miles is a good coach, but I don't know if he could have done and built what Saban did in 2000 @ LSU.
