Is that where Alabama's Symphony Orchestra performs?
eta: I had to watch ours perform 3-4 times for a music class I took.
LSU's Theatre is pretty nice too

UGA manages to fit the entire band (minus...pit / auxillaries, I believe) - so around ~350 ish in our largest band room. It is definitely a tight fit and requires a very systematic way of entering an exiting.
You know, something just occurred to me. I'm not sure that should be allowed. Because strictly speaking, it's dangerous to all involved.
Can you imagine the cluster of trying to get everyone out of that room in the event a fire alarm goes off in the building? In an orderly fashion?
Not cool...

I think they account for this. There's a huge double door fire exit aside from the main entrance and you could probably clear that room really quick. I'm positive with the level of bureaucracy today, we do meet some kind of fire code...lest we be sued.

Vanderbilt's band is actually comprised of 3 Universities: Belmont, Liscomp and Vandy.

Well for my peace of mind, if not your own, do me the favor of finding that out for yourself. Don't take for granted that someone else has.
Not when your own life is involved.

We have a dedicated marching band hall, and it is awesome. This snow picture doesn't really do it justice.

Yeah I looked at it on the project site...

BAND HALL & DANCE FACILITY
University of South Carolina
Columbia, SC
The program for this 34,000 sf facility poses an interesting challenge, at once providing a much needed improvement to the practice facilities currently used by the 250-member marching band, while also creating a new identity for the newly accredited dance program at the University. On a formerly neglected and oddly-shaped site wedged between two railroads, an elevated pedestrian walkway, and a small, utilitarian fabrication shop for the School of Engineering, the building attempts to become as narrow as possible in order to allow for the adjacent 110-yard long practice field and other related site access elements. The dual-level plan provides for an independent entry for dance on the lower level, and for band on the upper. The main level building plan is organized around a series of large practice areas and dance studios along the field side to the north, flanked by smaller offices and support spaces to the south. Acoustical separation and program autonomy are the major organizing factors, resulting in a simple yet highly efficient organizational building scheme in both plan and section.

It was an impressive achievement. Prior to that, we had to rehearse at an old minor league baseball stadium down the road. Needless to say, when we moved into that facility my junior year (2009 season), we were pretty excited.
Plus, it is tucked in between dorms. It was funny playing loud as hell at 8am on a Saturday morning.

How often do ballet students practice up there...not that I especially noticed them or anything...

The dance department is housed there as well. So, all the time. The building is sectioned off logically so that neither program takes away from each other.

I think UF bands use these venues as well.

Pretty sure we use the Music Center that just opened (Intramural Field near the new Music Center and Tom Black Track is where they practice):
The pic that was posted earlier in the thread doesn't really do it justice but there aren't a whole lot of pics to choose from since it just opened. We also have a lot of other facilities and larger halls that are used for different things.
Here's more on the Music Center and other facilities:
