Enjoy your 5-7 trash season dummy

really a great way to take a 9-4 veteran team returning nearly everyone and burn it all to the ground.

Off topic, did Jalen Green really not get signed as an UDFA? Is he hurt? Guy has talent to at least get a camp invite.

Don't be a jealous twit. Everybody had to deal with Covid. State played who was put in front of them, and won. It should have been NC State and State in the Finals, no doubt. But no one can know how that would have finished. Vanderbilt is the one that got the gift, not State.

MSU never ran from Covid or used it as an excuse in any sport. I seem to remember them playing several games with like 40 football players on their active roster due to Covid, one of them being Georgia.

Don't be that guy.

we have proven ourselves on the national stage, I bet we get more interest this time around.

MSU has phenomenal fan support and a great stadium. Probably great facilities as well. No reason to not get a top tier coach.

I have seen a lot of good Texas baseball teams.. and 2021 was one of our better years.. and State beat us fair and square..

NC State did get hosed though, and perhaps they were the best team.. but baseball is a funny game. so no way to know who would have won that series..

Mississippi State had a legit team and the title is good in my eyes. Maybe they finish 2nd.. that’s pretty damn good too..

You're right, we definitely got lucky by getting to face Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter on extended rest and the defending national champions.

It hurt us more than anyone. Vandy would have had to burn Leiter (no pun) and NC State would have had to burn one of their few remaining pitchers just to get through that elimination game that never happened. Vandy got the free pass and was able to save Leiter for us. It hurt state that the game was never even played. We had to face a Rested Leiter, Rocker, and their remaining staff and still won. Everyone assumes NC State would have won, but Vandy had just beaten a depleted NC State team 3-1 the day before with Leiter ready to pitch the deciding game.

there is some serious revisionist history going on in this thread...usually coming from one team.

He absolutely should IMO. These past two years are inexcusable and should not happen with the amount of support they’ve had and the amount of talent that has come through. Or maybe Lemo just needs to gain the weight back. Fat Lemo had some great teams, skinny Lemo not so much.

Boohoo. I cheered for State in that series, and I was happy to see them finally win a title (especially over Vandy). None of them got their panties in a twist over that comment, they just downvoted and moved on.

I’m not jealous of State’s title, but I am jealous of the Dude. I have been to a few games there and the atmosphere is unreal. Their history is too deep for them to be down long. They just need the right guy running the show, which I don’t think they have currently.

Well firing the entire offensive staff of Mike Leach was a good start

He has 173 posts 90% of them trash Arnett for no reason.

Arnett did what any new coach would do, he hired coordinators to fit his vision. Whether it works or not remains to be seen but the spring game seemed solid. There is no reason to hitch to the air raid without Leach. Leach was the air raid. None of his offensive assistants were overly impressive

I'm not sold at all on Arnett. He's not SEC caliber HC in my book. Just my 2 cents

Based on what? He won bowl game against a good Illinois team, he held the recruiting class together, I thought we looked fine on both sides of the ball in the spring game especially considering the players just started learning a new system.

People are nervous because he isn’t proven and is young. But he has yet to make a major error. We know he is a good defensive coach and I think his OC is a good one
