Probably...

The only UK campus pictures I could really find were of their library which is by far the nicest building on their campus.

State is actually a very nice campus. After hearing all the Starkghanistan bashing on here, my wife & I were pleasantly surprised how pretty the actual campus was. (And we loved Lil Dooey's, so even Starkghanistan has some redeeming qualities.)

Almost every single building on state's campus has been renovated in the last 8 years or so except for the eye sores that were torn down. There's only one building that doesn't look somewhat new and it happens to be right where everyone tailgates. It is like the second largest campus in the country as far as area goes, I think. It might not be as cozy as other campuses but there's not one shitty thing about it. And if you haven't been in a few years, that's probably why you think its shitty.

Some of the reasons listed are exactly why it's shitty. Everything's so damned spread out, there are just random, wide open patches of grass seemingly everywhere keeping you a solid 20 minutes away from wherever it is you want to go, the Chapel of Memories looks dumb, Davis-Wade looks dumber (but I will say it's, at the very least, closer to where y'all tailgate and such), maroon isn't a great color, the landscaping sucks, yadda yadda.

Of course, this entire topic is based on subjectivity anyway. If you like State's campus, fine, like it all you want, but don't get all butthurt when the rest of the SEC doesn't agree with you. Basically you're the one guy eating at Burger King while the rest of us are enjoying Chick Fil A. We know that what we're eating is better than what you're eating, but so long as you enjoy our Whopper who are we to judge you?

I went to Starkville last year, and the campus was a lot nicer than most of the people in this thread seem to think. The area around the drill field and the new student union were actually pretty nice.

It's not horrible, but IMO it also has zero charm and personality. It's just a flat-looking, generic, meh campus.

If you are a citing a drill field as an asset, that speaks for itself.

An LSU fan puttin LSU's campus in front of UGA OM, Arky and Bama. Now that's rich.

Don't get me wrong, I like LSU's campus and have been to it many times but would never put it in the top 4-5 in the SEC.

There really isn't a crappy campus in the the SEC. Look around at others like FSU, Miami for an examples of a crappy campus

Great pics, but you should have used the pic of the Horseshoe for our campus. I appreciate the work though.

Knoxville's campus is not that nice. Too much cement and the architecture doesn't blend well.

However, it's also at a disadvantage in comparison to other SEC towns. Knoxville has to expand within a city space that is already well developed. For instance, Athens is real nice, but UGA was also responsible for its growth.

I would have to say Tennessee, out of the SEC schools that I have seen. The only SEC school campuses that I have not been to are Arkansas and South Carolina. Are they nice??

LSU is actually known for having one of the nicest campuses in the SEC. It's ranked 11th in the nation by some magazine.

of course Ole Miss thinks they have the best campus. they're brain washed during freshmen orientation. the best looking girls too...blah...blah...blah.

all sec schools have a nice campus and good looking girls including State. i always find it humorous that ole miss fans think they have a monopoly on that

I never suggested any of the above. At all. I love Ole Miss' campus and Oxford, just as I am underwhelmed with State's campus, Tuscaloosa (the town), etc. But I'm not the blind homer you think I am. I think a lot of places have fantastic campuses.

I was just making fun of a poster who said that "some magazine" rated LSU as having a great campus. If you expect me to take that seriously (without any sort of link, citation, etc) then I don't know what to tell you.

And I don't even know why I'm replying to you. I read in some magazine last week that you're a barely literate community college dropout whose dick was amputated after a tragic incident involving an ice pick and an RV bathroom. But, I mean, that's just some magazine talking.

Well...I've read in "some magazines" Ole Miss, Tenn, and Notre Dame have some of the best tailgating in the nation and true tail-gaters know what a joke that is.
