Almost every single building on state's campus has been renovated in the last 8 years or so except for the eye sores that were torn down. There's only one building that doesn't look somewhat new and it happens to be right where everyone tailgates. It is like the second largest campus in the country as far as area goes, I think. It might not be as cozy as other campuses but there's not one shitty thing about it. And if you haven't been in a few years, that's probably why you think its shitty.

It's not so much that State's campus is especially bad. It's just that there are better looking campuses in the conference, and especially in the SEC West.

And I don't see State doing anything to move up the ladder, unless they move to the SEC East. State's campus would automatically move up to third in that division, behind UGA and Vandy.

In all honestly I like Miss St., there's just not much there at all. Dudy Noble was the best park in the SEC if not the nation before LSU built the new Box, but other than that there is nothing distinguishing about the campus/Starkville/zipcode 00000.

It's really just a matter of opinion. Some people like different architecture styles. I don't think State's campus is horrible, it's just not anything special.

Yeah, with school out for the holidays and all I guess the only thing left in Auburn is some team practicing for some kind of game on 10JAN2011?

Vanderbilt is really nice when you get on campus, I did a tour and it was sweet. All of the buildings match and there is lots of green space.

i went to a few football camps at state when i was in high school and it was very bad ('03/'04 or somewhere around there). I went to the game there 2 years ago and i was very impressed so i think a lot of people's opinions are based off of experiences before all of the new dorms and renovations occurred

IIRC Vandy's campus has been designated as a botanical garden.

It is. Anyone who says Vandy has an ugly campus has either never walked through it or they went there for a game and never bothered to look anywhere beyond the area around the stadium.

Exactly. That's what I'm trying to tell everybody. And I'm not trying to say it's the best. I'm just saying it's not shitty at all and some parts of it are really really nice. Our new union is great.
