I didn't like the Columbia area either, but the campus was alright.

Most of the Alabama fans here have never seen their own campus, so what makes you think they've seen State's?

Columbia isn't that bad at all

Let me reiterate. Their "off-campus" stadium and its surrounding fair grounds area with slums didn't impress me.

The problem is the campus is in Starkville...

The campus is actually in Mississippi State, Mississippi. Starkville adjoins the campus.

FWIW Mississippi State has the second most acreage of College in America.

Vandys campus isn't anything special either. Very small and in the middle of a huge city.
I've been to football, rugby, baseball and basketball games at Vandy and still don't know where the campus is.

Yeah, that's not photoshopped. If you're going to flame Auburn, at least post a legit picture.

Their actual campus is tucked away on the opposite side of the schools athletic facilities. I like Vandys setup. West End combined with downtown Nashville sets up for a nice college experience.

I think State is a little better than most are letting on.

State's campus is nicer than some of the other SEC schools.

That's because you can only drive the perimeter, for the most part. If you don't get out and walk across it, you'll never really see it. All the athletic facilities are on the SW corner of the campus. It's actually quite pretty.
