It's even more "frickin hilarious" how some LSU and Auburn fans have convinced themselves that Tuscaloosa is such a third world s###hole that the Sabans have been desperately trying to leave after each and every year there. Yet somehow despite all the other job opportunities present and the pure misery they've endured having to live there they keep deciding to tough it out in Tuscaloosa for yet another year.

If he leaves he'll be leaving for a new fresh opportunity and challenge and a change of scenery, not because the Alabama job isn't prestigious or desirable or Alabama fans are putting too much pressure on him.

I hope Bama pays Saban 8mil

I hope we pay him 10 mil. Because then it's gonna be funny to see the raise that Les asks for. And Stoops. And Urban. And lots of other guys. And all those schools will pay up.

Well the pressure never got to a boiling point yet because Bama has been rolling along. Saban has been comfortable because it has basically been pretty easy for him these days. As long as he wins comfortably he will stay.

A story from last January can Rustle this many Jimmies?

I believe it's called grasping at straws.

1-Saban looks like he is having more fun now.

2-I don't see him starting over again.

3-Texas is not the best job in CFB.

A little more detail to the Sexton contact earlier in the year.....

quote:

It is still unclear who initiated the contact between Sexton and the Texas representatives, although Tom Hicks' email suggests it was Sexton. Hicks wrote that Steve Hicks had told him ''an agent had made contact to say Saban could have interest in UT.''

Tom Hicks also wrote that Wallace Hall had told him that a ''very confidential friend (of Hall) had heard from Jimmy Sexton, Saban's agent, and that he was willing to have a call.''

Bill Curry was fired from Alabama after a 10-win season and a SEC title because he couldn't beat Auburn.
And because he is a completely obnoxious, arrogant dick/sumbitch.

You can tell what a POS he is just by looking at him.

I do unless he retires. Ultra successful people cannot walk away from a challenge. (Spurrier)

Texas is a better and bigger job than Alabama.

This was from January. Sexton and Saban are adding the "pressure" to make it somewhat real for more money.

Yeah, this seems like a cash grab to me. Texas is the only university capable of outbidding Alabama for Saban's services. They're the only program that Sexton can use as real leverage to get the money from Bama that he wants.

UT guys telling me that they can do a four or five year deal for north of 100 million. Bama boys you are either getting a new coach or you are going way up on ticket prices. UT doesnt frick around and these fantasies about giving Satan another million or two a year or just that.

Would you pay double or triple ticket prices to keep worshiping Satan?

BTW who is that NCAA investigation into Fluker going?

Sexton is just getting the table set for another big raise (for him and Nick). Nick will move from just south of $6MM to around $8MM after this season...... and it'll be Bama writing the checks.

If Texas does indeed get rid of Brown at the end of the year, I will tell you that Saban will be making 8 figures next year and I think Bama will still be cutting the check to him.

Also - pressure at Bama.

This is just absolute and utter bullshite.

The man could go without anything like the success he's already enjoyed and he'd remain a God in T-Town long after he decided to retire.

Bama fans were humbled by the lost decade.

If there's pressure, it's entirely self imposed. HE brought "the process." HE sets the "standard of excellence."
