First of all: LSUownsSEC You are funny. Maybe retarded. But definatley funny.

Now, LSUKAT
quote:

And they try to say our programs is going in the dumpster because we don't have Saban...not true. But I don't predict like some Bama fans that our program will be superior to anyones for years & years to come...That is the arrogance factor in BAMA-Land.

Really? I dont think that is exclusive to Bama arrogance. Half of the LSU fan posts on the SEC rant in regard to Alabama Football are some sort of prophecy about Alabama's future (the other half are the Bear is dead jokes). Do the Bama fans on this board actually portend to know the future of LSU's program. I could be wrong, but I have not seen that.

All season long there has been an overwhelming sense of vitriol towards Alabama by many of you, but there has been a disturbing level of discussion about Hate today, and "Hating" Alabama.

I wonder if this thread gets posted with Bama crushing Utah as expected? I think we all know the answer.

I went to a buffalo wild wings with some friends in Slidell. Most of the drunk crowd were rooting for Utah...made me pretty upset.

Bama you guys proved yourselves to me after blacking out uga. LSU still has a lot to prove to me. I kind of wish we could play VA tech in the opener.

I am an LSU fan and have been all of my life. I have never disliked Alabama until the past few years. As of right now, I dislike the Tide more than any other college team. When Saban left LSU for the Dolphins, I was sad to see him go because he is a good coach and I held a lot of respect for him. I understood that he wanted a new challenge and the Dolphins offered him complete control of the team. So I wished him well.

When he became the coach at Alabama, I had mixed feelings. I accepted that he came to the realization that he enjoyed the college game better and that it was easier for him to coach a college player. His controlling nature and in-your-face coaching methods are better with college guys rather than with NFL guys. Now, I wasn't thrilled with him coming to the SEC West and taking over a rival school (yes, LSU and Bama are rivals because we play each other every year and fight for the same title) but I had no real dislike for him or Bama at that time. I did lose respect for him because he got up and flat out lied to everyone listening when he said he was not going to be the coach at Bama. Not only did he deny taking the job but he acted incredulous and insulting to anyone who even questioned it. Then, a couple of days later, he was in Tuscaloosa. And a lot of people lost respect for him, not just LSU fans. If you remember, he took a lot of heat in the media for his leaving Miami for Bama.

I began to dislike Bama because shortly thereafter Bama jerkoffs started talking all kinds of shite about Saban being God, going to crush LSU, take away players, etc. Then something came to light that effectively burned all bridges between LSU and Saban and essentially Bama. Saban was personally trashing Miles and the LSU staff to high school recruits. All of LSU's success was due to him, Miles was not a good coach, LSU was nothing before him, LSU was going to decline, etc. Now, I really began to dislike Bama and Saban. And that was why Miles got pissed off and said what he said at the LSU recruiting bash a couple of years ago. He said what every LSU fan was already thinking. He took it personally and had every right to do so. I took it personally. LSU fans took it personally.

We lost a little respect for Saban at first. He did not have the high character we thought he had because of the way he left Miami and came to Bama. He looked like a liar on national TV. We were disappointed in him but did not hate him or Bama (at least I did not). Then, Bama fans annoyed us by constantly talking obnoxious trash to us. Now you and your coach are running down our school and our coach? F U!

All of this was made worse by the absolute kool-aid mentality of Bama fans. Gumps elevated Saban to Godlike status. He was all-knowing, all-powerful, merciful, and kind. Seriously, the Bama nation took on an almost cult-like following. I went to the 2007 LSU-Bama game in Tuscaloosa. After the Tigers won, I was walking down one of those streets from the stadium to my car which was parked about a mile away. I passed a house and there was a little boy standing in the front yard, close to the sidewalk, wearing Bama gear. Roll Tide, he said. Not tonight, I replied. He then said "well...you just wait till next year...the next year of the process." This kid could not have been more than 8 or 9 years old. The process? I was smiling and chuckling about that for a while.

All of this hopefully explains why I, and a lot of LSU fans, dislike Bama so much. I have never been around a more obnoxious, self-absorbed, delusional bunch of brainwashed crimson douches in my life. Its not enough that they have such high opinions of themselves, their school, and their coach. They have to ridicule your coach and your school. LSU may have a problem with Saban, but thats it. Bama has a personal problem with Miles, Fulmer, Tuberville, the list goes on. The talk about Saban being "relentless", Miles never getting the tiniest shred of credit for anything, the "winning with Saban players", we're losing because of "Shula players", all of this crap that comes endlessly from the mouths of Gumps. And by the way, I read a lot of the Bama boards last year when LSU was playing in the national championship. Most of the comments, the vast majority of the comments, were hoping LSU would lose and were rooting against us.

Now, in closing, I have to say that I have met a few Bama fans who were very likeable. In 2007, as we took our seats in Tuscaloosa, a nice older man got up and personally welcomed me and my friends to Tuscaloosa. But then again, at the end of the game when we were celebrating amongst ourselves, a delusional Gump came up to us and threatened to shoot us in the heads with his double-barreled shotgun. So its all relative.

I hate Alabama the team. The team that has tormented LSU throughout the years. Never will forget 1998 game.

Long but well thought out. The one thing that kind of bugged me about some Alabama fans was listening to allot of them say, "We stole your coach". I was shocked by how many of them said and continue to say this and actually believe it.

Although I may casually say that I "hate" Alabama, my true feeling is that I hate to see Alabama win football games. That results solely from it's having won entirely too many games, too many championships, and having "owned" LSU for entirely too much of football history. Having endured eighteen years of Charley McClendon as a barely competent SEC coach, losing year in and year out to Alabama, and having endured many post-McClendon years of losses to Alabama, I don't want to see its football program win too many more games. That's my reasoning, for which I do not apologize. T-John

NONE of the above do I truly hate... I have good friends who are Alabama grads, and we just have good-natured fun with each other about this. I posted yesterday (in response to an Alabama "flamer," in my opinion) that "I thought we hated Bama just because they were Bama," and said that I was planning on pulling for Bama anyway until the flamer's post.

I still was pulling for Bama last night. I have no real animosity toward Bama, but it WAS kinda hard to take all those years when we couldn't even come close to beating ya :).

I hate the school, the Coaches, the players and most of the people who went there and all of the people who are fans and did not go there.
