your fan base until my last 2 trips to Tuscaloosa included various jabs and remarks concerning Katrina.

There was a group of Alabama fans set up on Nicholson this year between Tigerland and the GameDay set making "Katrina" jokes.

Amazing.

personally, i never had any problem with alabama or their fans until they hired saban. after the hire they flooded this message board with their arrogance and continued to try to downplay miles and his success at LSU to build saban up in their own minds. there's no need to tear down one coach in order to build up another. that combined with the massive delusion present in the gump fan base has led me to have a strong dislike for them. i wouldn't use the word hate though

+10000000

That is exactly how I feel. The moment Saban leaves, things will go back to normal.

I have nothing against the University of Alabama. Some of Alabama's fans are obnoxious, but every fanbase has them. The problem has been since Saban arrived. Many Bama fans see it as their duty to downplay everything that LSU does so that Saban will be bigger in their minds. Thus, we want to see Bama taken down several notches. It just makes sense.

As for Saban . . .

...oh, go away NOLATide...this is a friggin' "message board" with the usual suspects that attend these sorts of things...most are sarcastic humorists, many are just plain bozos, some are serious posters. You get what you get on these boards. Certainly NOT a representative cross section of hundreds of thousands "Tiger Fans" all over the world...Relax, man...

I was pulling for Bama, as I did for Ole Miss -- swallowing the vomit back down. When they lost, it was totally embarrassing. We thought you may be good for ONE THING and you blew it!
I was kinda pulling for Bama over UF to go to the national title game, but I am glad now that they didn't.

We don't like anyone that is a threat to our dominance in the SEC. When we whipped Bama 5 straight years, we like Bama better. Now that AU is on the decline the level of aggression towards them begins to diminish.

Being on top means your friends are few. Deal with it!

Bama had a big swagger about them and talked more crap than I have observed in the past. This led to an escalation of the bitterness towards Bama. Saban is a pompus arse. Everyone likes seeing him fail. Especially Wayne Huzienga and LSU.. LOL

here is a queston for you gump, do you cheer for coach Fran???
Fran did nothing wrong to bama, he left for a job that he wanted more, and bama fans still HATE THE GUY!!!
How the frick can any bama fan tell a LSU fan to get over the Saban thing, when STILL to this day they hate Fran, with a passion??

I don’t even think about Man-tits Fran, much less openly hate him. And I don’t know about other Alabama fans, but I was never upset that he took another job, that stuff happens. But you can’t say he did nothing wrong. He asked scholarship athletes (none of which had done anything wrong) who could have transferred anywhere and retained their elegibilty not to do it. Then he went and did it, and didn’t even address the team before he left. He bailed rather than deal with the consequences of that probation, and those players hung in there when their coach quit. It was shitty the way he handled it. Why should I support him for that?

As far as the Katrina crap, there is a special place in Hell for someone who pulls that kind of shite. They will get there’s one way or another someday. I am sorry that any of yall were witness to that crap, that is more embarrassing than a blowout loss to Utah.

Serious question for LSU fans.
All season long there has been an overwhelming sense of vitriol towards Alabama by many of you, but there has been a disturbing level of discussion about Hate today, and "Hating" Alabama. I have always loved how SEC fans of all schools stick together come bowl time and root for each other. Clearly that is not the case for many of you LSU fans here, and I think the level of true "hate" you are expressing is borderline psychotic. I think I know the truth, but my question is do you hate Alabama the school and it's alumni, Alabama fans, or Alabama's coach? And what are your reasons? Or do you even distinguish these differences? Please spare us the all of the above response and reply with a thoughtful answer or not at all.

So what i'm reading here is that you are someone who is qualified to diagnose persons as "borderline psychotic"? Are you a shrink or an idiot who just spews shite out of his mouth?

I was pulling for Bama to win that game but once I saw it was over it kind of tickled me. I came on this website "LSU website non the less" and saw an epic meltdown from the gumps and its halarious. Nothing malicious. Just funny.

Anyways. GFY!!!

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

In reality, do you need to be a clinician to detect crazy? I don't think so.

It is clearly the whole Saban thing. think about it, everyone beleives ad righfully so, that he rescued LSU from football wilderness. He made LSU football relevant again, and we made him a demi-god. It is a horrible situation for everyone, Saban, Miles, LSU , BAMA.

Just think what would have happened if a year after retirement the Bear took the LSU HC job?

It is like your wife screwing your best friend, and it hurts many of the LSU family.

I like Nick, and know he didnt do this to screw LSU, he just wanted a challenge at the college level.

He is a good coach but so is Les Miles. I wish everybody would lay off him as well.

Also, everybody can see its LSU and Bama battling for the West probably for the next few years with Ole Miss hanging in there next year at least.

BTW, it was two Bama fans that killed two LSU fans over the game this year...

where have the bama fans that were given respect during the year as we floundered a bit without a quarter back and we sank because of our own undoing...gave us nothing but words of praise before? now you are on your zealous derrieres, verbosing in a sesquipedalian manner. losing respect for their fellow SEC opponent because you beat them in O.T.? where are the great(s) bamascoop and devilsadvocate hiding out now? at least they were here after the hiring of Nickie $aban first before this board overflowed with punks that ran us in the ground because they went to 12-0. Now bama is 12-2 and they are all in hiding. most LSU fans don't go to your site because of the tides self-conceit. don't get'ver clempt,' you weren't when the majority of your fan base was causing tummel here, now you are in a state of tsetummelt???

it's life, you have a bad day, you wake up wipe it off...you have a bad year, you try to improve on the next....nobodies wins them all, all the time...wake up the wedding is over with $aban, whom Mal Moore set up long ago and yentz(ed) their own students in tuition fees...anyway that is what some bama folks that live in your state told me!!! take your gloating verbos with you and apply to your god $aban? LSU, Ole Miss, Vandy, Kentucky and Gawga are proping up the SEC this season....what happened to you swell heads? too much bourbon in your rooms on in the quarter last night?

i think he was a good coach and left the best job in the Nation, but I can live with winning our bowl games convincingly year end and year out. now we live with Les...

can't wait for baseball season....and i think LSU will make the SEC proud of their team and new hired coach T.J. this season and in the future as well. that is the way i see the verity!!!
:geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

One more thing - LEARN FROM YOUR PARENTS' MISTAKES USE BIRTH CONTROL...The Alabama state motto: At least we're not Mississippi - 'Y' because you'll make fun of a beautiful place like Southern Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi after it's tsoriss, when devastated by Katrina??? Oh all of these words are just that...ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS NO MATCH FOR NATURAL STUPIDITY.

Yes your absolutely correct it is a bad situatio not only for fans, but the two coaches involved.
And they try to say our programs is going in the dumpster because we don't have Saban...not true.
We are beating them in recruiting big time this year and getting coaching corrections made and we will recover next year. But I don't predict like some Bama fans that our program will be superior to anyones for years & years to come...That is the arrogance factor in BAMA-Land.
