Miss. St. hasn't played anybody either and they are giving up almost 400 yards per game.

If AU can stay at 5 or so in total defense all year, with our offense, we'll be tough to beat.

LSU's stats are a bit inflated given that they left their entire starting defense in for an unusually long amount of time in the SHSU and ULM games. ULM was playing backups before the Tigers were.

LSU the best by a wide margin.

I watched the game against Wisconsin and was not overly impressed. They may be really good, but so far I haven't seen a shut down defense like we've seen in the past in the league yet.

Evidently your coach thinks your 1s and 2s need more PT and reps to get ready for conference play.

MSU's felt like we need our didn't.

Then why was McKinney still playing with 6 minutes to go against UAB?

And Justin Cox, and Taveaze Calhoun, and Preston Smith, should I keep going?

Did you notice that Wisconsin didn't do a whole lot of scoring in the second half? Those are called "adjustments." Wisconsin hit some big plays when they had us off balance. We adjusted and shut that shite down for the final 25 minutes.

Also, LSU was missing several defenders from that game.

Not trying to bash LSU's performance in that 2nd half on defense because it was impressive, but Wisconsin's QB makes Jeff Driskel look like Joe Montana

And against USM in your shutout, Preston Smith, Ryan Brown, Berniquez Brown, Chris Jones, Justin Cox, Taveaze Calhoun all recorded tackles in the second half yet you claim that your starters got subbed out early in these games. Unless they made a mistake, right?

Our defense sucks and we already played WVU are still in the Top 3.

If you are below us your defense clearly also sucks.

I agree. Very good, no doubt - but this won't be the 2011 defense or anything.

He had a pretty easy time throwing the ball the next game vs. inferior competition. McEvoy was just trying to throw against LSU's elite secondary. Not a good matchup for them.

You can smell the fear up in here

LSU has a very good defense. They will grow up a lot after this weekend. At the end of the year, this defense will be in full swing and will be tough to score on.

You do realize that Alabama's defense is numerically better than last year's Alabama defense at this point?

Gonna dominate those spread teams like A&M.

Gonna get run over by Arkansas and Alabama.

Yep - being a bit of a smart arse.

Last year's defense wasn't very good either. This year's D is better in the secondary and at DL and worse at LB.

But it isn't dominate or elite. Neither was last year's.

Also - at this point last year Alabama had already played Texas A&M. So, a bit of an unfair comparison (though WVU's offense is proving to be pretty good).
