LSU's stats are a bit inflated given that they left their entire starting defense in for an unusually long amount of time in the SHSU and ULM games. ULM was playing backups before the Tigers were.

If by starters you mean 27 kids then yes. All 27 played the entire game. (on D)

And? What do you think this means, exactly?

That's depth, folks. I'm not sure the rest of the conference has woken up to how good this defense is.

Excluding the first half of the Wisconsin game. I still think we are susceptible to the run.

Wisconsin had us a bit off balance. We were also short handed on the Dline because of suspensions. No Herron, no Bain, no Gilmore. Those guys are in the fold now. We can rotate big guys in there for days.

They are looking for ways to "explain" the fact that LSU's defense is so much better than everyone else's, even though LSU has played one of the better OOC teams of anyone in the SEC.

i dont know if we are "so" much better, but I do think we will be and are a top 10 D in the nation and a top 3 D in the SEC.

our Secondary is legit as frick.. We have really good speed at OLB and DE. ?? on the DT MLB at this point IMO.

Except we didn't.

We've ALWAYS rotated at LSU, this year is no different. LOL @ any retard thinking we had a starting defense out there entirely for 3-4 quarters especially in blowouts.

You are using those stats to try and compare it to what MSU has done

Im not comparing jack shite to what state has done. Frankly, you cant. LSUs defensive performances have been far better than states.

Your comment was that you couldn't see the improvement from last year. I posted the current unit rankings (by the NCAA) which show LSU in the top 5 across the board in defensive categories. Now, tell me, was LSU ranked that high last year in those categories?

If your answer is no, as it should be, then you were wrong. Or just dont know what the frick you are talking about...

Good God!

Here.. let me try this once more.

Our ROTATION was long off the field and LSU fans (much like yourself) seem to think our defense is bad because of a few long shot passes by UAB against guys not in rotation.

Is that better for you?

We have an elite secondary. We have two units we can roll in at linebacker without losing a step. We've got the big bodies at DT to clog the run for 4 quarters.

The only thing this defense lacks is an elite pass rushing presence. Everybody keeps waiting for Hunter to become that, but he hasn't really against good competition yet.

We can counter the argument by saying our "backups" were playing in the first quarter too.

They probably wouldn't understand though

You guys gave up 20 to UAB by halftime and 27 about midway through the 3rd quarter. Stop making up bullshite excuses pretending like you had walk ons on the field in the 1st half.

They don't. At least, darkhorse can't seem to wrap his head around this concept. He will get it when we shut MSU down, though.
