Funny. The OU stadium and atmosphere is about 10x better than what Texas has. Far closer to the SEC experience than Texas will be. What an idiot

10x better

I don’t know about the rest of my disfuctional family here but I find that these guys that publish them go to one game per team, rely on history from the past and just looking for clicks! They don’t know crap.

True story my man hope it gets some laughs today…. I forget the year…. Top row upper deck on the east side of tiger stadium. Last 3 rows where empty. Dude that looked like Jesus (LSU) pulled out a gallon zip lock bag full of liquor and started mass consumption. When we started making our way down after the game “Jesus” was laying down on the top row completely passed out with what’s left in the bag leaking on his clothes tow slam up! God I love that dark, dingy, Louisiana voodoo on Sat night!

And outside the stadium is not a dog or human cemetery but Heisman Park, where 5 of OUr 7 Heisman winners are immortalized - Mayfield and Murray still waiting their turn

I didn’t realize Billy Simms’s head was bigger than his torso.

Last few visits to Knoxville Aubie did not hear “Rocky Top” played after the first quarter. Crickets thereafter! Yes go ahead and talk about your V two years ago in Auburn. That game sealed the deal for Gus!

I've never been to Arkansas stadium. How is the atmosphere?

It's been a ghost town since the Chad Morris era but when we're not terrible it can get very loud. I expect the atmosphere for the Texas game will be the best it's been since at least 2016.

Greg McElroy and Jalen Hurts both said it was one of the loudest places they played.

Oh yes they are- can you say rust? And fungi thrive on those surfaces, which is why you see that brown/green color. A good layer of paint on treated wood is better in those conditions.

What a joke. These rankings must have been written by an LGBTQA writer.

Jesus, takes five minutes just to say the name of that stadium.

We just say Oklahoma Memorial or Owen Field. Gaylord family was added after significant donation for the 2003 expansion of the east side upper deck.

Texas - Weird campus. Not a college town so kind of out of place in the SEC. Campus is an eyesore, buildings mismatched and spread out over a great distance. They tried to make a Longhorn Zone pre-game area that was a mess. Hope they fix that before my next game there. You can sit where you want, so I just picked a seat near a beer vendor.

Aggie - Hate that campus. It's depressing mud brown for all buildings. A dead dog cemetery. No beer to be found near the stadium. Will not return...

Hogs - Beautiful campus. Nice stadium and the fans are faithful and loud. Stadium was decent, big hd screen. I went and saw Bama destroy them one year.

Neyland - Love that campus. Haven't been to a game there but snuck onto the field on a trip there and was amazed. Huge.

There are tailgates around the stadium on all sides. Beer and liquor flow. Plus we sell beer in all but the student section and liquor in the clubs. North gate is right next to campus. About 22 bars all in a row.

Guess I was just mostly around the corp or something.... Walked all around the stadium, not a beer trough to be found. At least in Austin you'd see a vendor. Kinda felt like ya'll weren't allowed to have open containers or something.

Sounds like you have trouble making friends. Literally thousands of people would have given you a beer or ten.

TBH it used to at least look more cohesive before the construction within the last decade. The orange brick paving in front of Jester Wendys and McCombs is ugly as sin.

All the buildings around the tower are "nice". Old, but they at least have a university feel. The new stuff reminds me of like the University of Houston's newer renovations.

To be fair, beer was NOT an issue in Austin. Vendors all over the place. Cruising around carrying a sixer of tall-boys not a problem at all. Inside the stadium, they served tall-boys at the concession 15 feet from our seats.
