Was choosing between the USFL and the NFL really that difficult of a decision to make then?
If you're the best college football player that's ever played and you're 20 years old and donald trump offers you a couple million, you don't see why it'd be easy to go? Keep in mind he grew up pretty poor.
And it wasn't a "choice between the USFL and NFL". Herschel was basically talked into leaving school early, which was pretty uncommon in those days. It's not like he left UGA after 4 years and went to one over hte other. He was presented more cash than he'd ever dreamed of and said "ok, where do I sign?"

Henry isn't close to their caliber but you know that already.

The USFL offered more money and the opportunity to go pro after your junior season. The NFL didn't allow that at the time.
So yes, it would be a complicated decision.

Darby was the best. But only if it was up the middle.

Herschel was better than Bo and it isn't close.
Herschel IS and WAS a better athlete than Bo too.
Herschel was a 2 time all american track star. He ran the 100 in 10.23. Herschel's 100 yard dash (ncaa event) was a 9.3 and he had the world record for the 55m at 6.11s.
Bo's best 100m time was 10.44. Bo's best ncaa 100 yard dash was a 9.54.
NFL Stats:
Herschel Walker:
Rushing yards: 8,225
Rushing TDs: 61
Receiving yards: 4,859
Receiving TDs: 21
Bo Jackson:
Rushing yards: 2,782
Rushing TDs: 16
Receiving yards: 352
Receiving TDs: 2
Herschel Walker's USFL Stats:
Rushing yards: 5,562
Rushing TDs: 54
Receiving yards: 1,464
Receiving TDs: 7
Herschel finished 7th in bobsledding in the 1992 winter Olympics.
Herschel Walker is not in the NFL hall of fame mostly because of perception issues.
There are 6 running backs in history to have scored at least 60 rushing and 20 receiving touchdowns. Walker is the ONLY one not in the Hall of Fame. The other 5? Jim Brown, Lenny Moore, Marcus Allen, Marshall Faulk and Thurman Thomas.
Herschel Walker is the ONLY NFL player with at least 4,000 yards rushing, receiving and in kickoff returns. He's currently 10th all time in total yards in the NFL.

still holds the record at wisconsin's facility.
Also, I can't remember the specific event (maybe the 55m you referenced), but Herschel held a world record in some kind of race for like 10 minutes before carl lewis ran it .1 faster.

I don't get the second graphic. Henry's numbers are wrong, he had more yards than that. Also, the names are wrong. Bo doesn't go on that list, someone else does =)

keep in mind Herschel has 3 years worth of bowl games that don't count in his records, unlike henry.

not even close. Herschel had 11 games per season that were recorded for stats. Players these days could have up to 15.

Bo at least has an argument since he averaged more YPC in his big season. Henry's season dominates Herschel's in every category, though.

So what you are saying, is that because Herschel was faster than Bo and played one sport instead of two, as well as played that sport longer than Bo because of an injury, that he is the overall better athlete. Shiny hook got me.
