So USMC Gator is a Gamecock hater huh? Never would've thought it - we always get along so well with most Gator fans - always have really.

I guess there is one in every bunch.

Leave it to a fricking jarhead.

Duke and UNC would make SEC the best basketball conference, yes or no?

Yep, on top of UK and the conference's premiere basketball program in UF.

Guess you don't want big brother in the SEC?

Troll is obvious,

haha, have you followed sports the past 4 years? They just now beat us in basketball this year. We've dominated them in all sports over that time frame and it's only going to get worse for them.

They have no place in the SEC, they don't add any tv market share. That's what conference expansions all over are about.

SEC would basically own the Top 3 sports. Would be glorious.

I'll be glad when conference gets too big and splits. Probably won't live to see it, but it'll be a good day.

It will never been Duke and the tarholes for reasons already discussed ad nauseam on this forum.

#1 Neither UNC or Duke would give up their place in the thrown on Tobacco Road.

#2 Neither UNC or Duke would appreciate being relegated to moddle of the pack, to lower end members of a conference.

#3 Neither UNC or Duke has much football credibility. Poor fan support, smallish facilities, etc. They are both basketball schools.

#4 Both of them are in the identical same TV market, the RTP, therefore there would be little to gain by bringing both of them in as partner invites and besides, the SEC would never do a deal like that just because of the nepotism implied.

#5 The ACC would collapse, overnight, the moment it was announced, and they know it. Therefore, the ACC would fight tooth and nail, in court, to prevent it from happening.

#6 No true SEC fan wants those frickin' snobs in the conference. If you think the Hotty Toddy crowd is bad, you oughta go to a UNC game and have to listen to how great they are in basketball and lacrosse during the tailgates while they sip their red and white wine out of crystal. They fricking suck as college football fans.

UNC/Dook would rather drop sports/go independent before joining the SEC.

i can see them going big10 and us picking up some of the scraps: NCSU, Clempsun, FSU, or VT.

Clemson and FSU bring nothing to the conference. We already have middle of the road football teams. UNC and Duke would give us all another win in football and make the SEC a basketball powerhouse. I would fap uncontrollably. I don't know how anyone could oppose this

Don't need the money. Both want to stay in the ACC and rank their in state rivalries higher than extra revunue.

What was the point? You just said "WTF."

I'm pointing out that the article is based on old information. I'd say that's relevant.

It wasn't an article, it was a bullcrap post by a bullshite blogger who doesn't know his arse from shineola.

It'll never happen, not ever. If for no other reason than the SEC is well aware of what prima donnas those two programs are and what a bunch of spoiled little punks their fanbases are.

NC State will be a far better fit and will still bring the same TV market. Wolfpack fans are like SEC fans. They love their sports and support them all equally plus they have the money and the facilities that would facilitate their transition into the conference much easier than either of the other two would, in terms of football.
