No, but what I got out of Saturday was that there is Bama and a bunch of also rans in the SEC this year. That is what makes me sad.

Bama is REALLY good no doubt and will get even better... With that said, I think that the other SEC teams will pick it up... Unfortunately lots of talking heads are overreacting just a little IMO by anointing Bama and dismissing other SEC teams..

I was at the Bama/USC game and Bama has MANY holes, albeit fixable holes but holes nonetheless. LSU's and Auburn's defense are legit and if their offenses become somewhat competent, the SEC west will become interesting REAL QUICK!!

I've been rocking this sig for over a year and a half.

Good try, good effort.

And Florida looked like a turd that was in the sun for a couple of hours on Saturday.

I'd rather look like shite and be 1-0 than be shite at 0-1.

UF wasnt being viewed as the most talented team in the country either.

The sad reality is that no one outside of Bama looked unbeatable. No one. Until the wheels fall off of the Bama machine, it will stay that way.

Troll thread.

Every fan on this board laughs at the other teams and the fans of the other teams.

SummerOfGeorge doesn't troll. This is a legit thread, and a legit point.

LSU lost to a solid team in their home state. There was a lot to lament if you're an LSU fan, but the way some people are proclaiming their demise is silly. This LSU team will get better as the season goes and they won't be an easy win for anybody (including Bama).

Well, I'll rephrase. It is really the thread title that seems trollish.

Since Saturday night, nobody is tearing up, bashing, ridiculing and bad-mouthing the LSU team and coach more than the LSU fans themselves. Seems that, after the very first game of the season, they noticed some lack of execution and now want the Head Coach fired yesterday. So, if any outsiders are laughing at LSU right now, it must be because LSU is engaging in a some self-immolation and historical revisionism.

Simple question : would your performance Saturday have beaten Wisconsin at Lambeau?

I'm not laughing at LSU, not in the least ... but deflection management is such an ugly thing when I see it presented in the fashion above.

Would this be some sort of failed attempt at a transitive juxtaposition?

I've seen plenty of fans teasing LSU. They just get drowned out by the LSU fans melting. You've been here long enough to know this - the beauty of LSU fans is when they seem really good or after a disappointing loss, the craziness comes out. I love the corndogs - if I weren't a Bama fan I would pull for LSU, because they're so much fun.

Nope, but I did watch their game yesterday on replay and I'm not sure we would have fared much worse at all given LSU's absolute and total joke of an offense. Oh and also we weren't ranked 5th and we didn't think yet again it was our year and we didn't schedule Wisky as the season opener, they did. Therefore, I am going to continue to laugh until at least Saturday. I know in my heart of hearts they would be doing the same if the situation was reversed.

I was reading Twitter the other day and someone brought up a valid point. LSU almost fired their head coach last year. What made people think things have changed to make them a national championship contender this year?

No we wouldn't have. But we beat the team we had to beat. That's all that matters. Same goes for UT and Florida.

Maybe the fans of the other SEC fans are laughing more than the LSU fans right now. On second thought, that's probably true.

That's because LSU fans are not laughing. They are threatening a Miles-supporter with physical harm right now on a message board.

It would be risky IRL right now to suggest to a group of LSU football fans that it makes no sense to fire your HC after the first game of the season. One is likely to get punched for that comment.

Would also be risky to suggest that Miles DID try to mix it up on offense. He DID call pass plays on First and Second Down. When the plays failed it was because of poor execution. The groupthink among Miles haters now is that Miles called an ultra conservative game. Not true, but, if you say that IRL to a group of LSU fans right now, you might get punched.

Truth is, after the Jimbo to LSU thing didn't materialize, VERY few LSU fans wanted Miles fired at that time.

Yep. Bama is clearly the best team in the SEC, but bama will be in a dog fight at least once this year. Fortunately, I don't know that there will be another team in the west with less than 2 losses.
