It's just that this was not the attitude 5 days ago, so it's hard to know where people are coming from.
Some of that is preseason "we're gonna win it all this year" hope, and that's acceptable and normal for any "good" program, which is what the top half of the SEC is. Programs like LSU, UGA, Florida, Auburn, heck even Tennessee, Arky and A&M traditionally, if you have good returning players, you should think it could be your year. None are really strangers to the Top 10 and big bowls.
But some, SOME, of the talk coming out of LSU camps this preseason is borderline delusional.
I can understand and accept it if you want a coaching change because you think the guy has run his course, and he's mailing it in now.
But wanting Miles (or anyone) fired because he's unable to elevate his program above Alabama's right now, when they are in the midst of an incredible run, is insane. Unless Bama somehow implodes, we all just have to wait this out. It is what it is.
