Escaping from the Big 12 would be worth paying 31 million a year.

Does that $31.1M include a full school year of SECN (2014 through May of 2015), or only 4-5 months of SECN (through 12/31/14)?

Pretty close to the payout of the current numbers for Texas and Kanasas, a little bit ahead of OU. Far ahead of the rest of the Big 12, PAC or ACC.

But this is year one of the SEC Network and you have to figure there were some startup costs. Next year is the rain.

Not all schools should get the same amount.

Well the SECN isnt a year old so i dont think it could be a full year of SECN revenues regardless.

Then go back to the Big 12.

Big 12 was at 23 a school last year, but that was with TCU and WVU only getting partial payments. That number will undoubtedly drop.

In comparison the SEC doubled what the BIg XII made last season and both Mizzou and A&M will pull in more than Texas.

What's even more terrifying for other conferences has to be that this is the year that startup costs for the SEC network were taken from disbursals. The SEC is far and away the Joneses now and there's little any other conference can do to compete.

Has to in order to be that high. Like 10 months worth given distribution timing.

That is for Tier 1 and 2. The SEC Network includes Tier 3 money too.

For Tier 3 Texas is making a little under 10 million, Kansas is near that amount and OU is making around 7 or 8 million. For the rest of the Big 12 it is anywhere from 1-3 million.

I am not ready to beat that drum yet. We will have to see what the Big 12 distributes because they add ten plus million on top before IMG and the university take their cut. Our AD will make more TV money than their AD because of these commitments, but I hate being pedantic.

Next year we will blow them away.

The B1G will keep up. Their current numbers are close, and their Tier 1 deal is up in 2016. Since this will be the last major conference Tier 1 deal to go on the market for a LONG time many expect the bidding to be kinda crazy. Enough to erase the gap between the B1G Network and the SEC Network.

What I expect is within three years the SEC and B1G sit at almost 40 mil a year, which is a huge gap compared to the rest of the country. A decade of that will make the ACC (who BARELY makes 20 million with faint hope for a network to boost that) unstable again.
