LSU has little to no chance of playing in that game, I've accepted that for this year.

Playing Florida on Nov 19th will only happen if Florida mans up and travels to Baton Rouge to fix the screw-up they and Sankey created by not having a contingency plan. Their screw up, their job to fix it.

Fact... LSU fans are uninformed. All they said last week was that the SEC had NO SAY in whether or not the game was played and this was 100% on UF.

Educated people knew that was bullshite but nevertheless paranoid LSU fans with victim syndrome continued saying this stuff.

NOT surprised at all by any of this. Just about everyone outside of LSU can see how f'ing ridiculous they are.

Now that this is no longer about revenue and a shitty late season meaningless non-conference game... let's hear the rest of the bullshite excuses as to why LSU won't play on the 19th. I think it is pretty obvious why.

You found a link to that 3MM payout for LSU if they actually play the rescheduled game at a later date?

Competative advantage.

To be frank, the city desperately needs the money a home game generates.

frick Florida if they think they can strong arm us into losing a home game.

You know you guys should really stop and just be a little bit more of a team player here and start being a good conference partner. This was a natural disaster so its not all about LSU.

UF starting QB injured and out. Days before the game, reported that 5 of the starting front 7 were out with injury. Coming off of a huge loss. There's no question the UF team could benefit from time off to heal. Fact.

Literally none of this is true. On Monday, Mac said all four starters were banged up. Two definitely wouldn't play. Caleb Brantley and Brian Cox were probable on Wednesday before the postponement.

Like Del Rio targeted the LSU game for his return for weeks and practiced all week. And we weren't coming off a huge loss. I'll grant you a touchdown win over Vandy isn't much better.

So we would have been without two starters on the defensive line and that's it. LDR would have played and we would have had banged up guys play on both lines of scrimmage but they would have played all the same. Florida was healthier than LSU honestly.

Fact: Florida pussed out of this game because they couldn't afford a second SEC loss.
Fact: Everyone else managed to reschedule their games, other than Florida. Thus they are twats.

Look everyone is sorry about that as it was a tough summer for the community....

It's already mid-October...you really don't have any high moral ground re: why the game was cancelled. It's done. So the question is what do you want to do? UF had the home game.

Yeah. The humanitarian card is not going to work on this guy, dealing with natural disasters is in my DNA, and unfortunately I've got the experience to prove it, recent and historical.

LSU looks really bad here. They don't want to have to play Florida so close to playing A&M and they are butthurt about it.

That may be true, but it is not the school's or the SEC's responsibility or priority

McElwain said Del Rio will participate in practice early this week and be re-evaluated midway through it, but hinted that there’s a good chance his redshirt sophomore quarterback could play, saying that “his mindset is that he’s going to play” and noting that Del Rio has targeted this game for his return.

quote:

Beyond Del Rio, though, the news is far less rosy.

Florida’s defensive line, which played almost exclusively backups at Vanderbilt due to injuries, is likely to do something similar against the Tigers. Tackle Joey Ivie remains out, as was expected after sustaining a thumb injury expected to keep him out for a month, but end Jordan Sherit, who missed the Vanderbilt game, will get “scoped” — have arthroscopic surgery — and be out for “a little while,” per McElwain, while tackle Caleb Brantley is both “sick” and has a thumb injury, and end Bryan Cox, Jr. is hurt, but McElwain refused to say he would be out.

quote:

Taken together, this is bad news for a Florida team that struggled with Vanderbilt and will now face an LSU outfit coming off one of its best offensive outputs in decades — one accomplished without Leonard Fournette, who is expected to play this weekend against a team that he’s run for 320 yards against in two seasons.

Literally, none of this is true????? lol

Look, I'm actually sympathetic to you guys. I'd probably doing the exact same as you are. It's a tough pill to swallow, knowing what your coach and AD did. The choice is to admit they skirted a L, and not want to be a fan any longer. Or find a way to somehow justify in your mind what happened, blame others, so you can continue loving your Gators.

I'd probably be doing the same as you.

How....LSU didn't cancel this game the league did because Foley and UF told them to. It's pretty simple.

They don't want to have to play Florida so close to playing A&M and they are butthurt about it.

Look man I get it a little brother has no say in whether they would have to play 3 SEC road games in 12 days....but the power brokers have a say. At this point why the hell should we risk a players future for this? Now if we are still in the hunt on 11/13 for the SEC Championship (which I doubt) then we'll decide then to play it. We don't have to concede anything at this point.
