his office is across the street from mine.

Saw a Rolls Wraith Black badge pulling into the parking lot a couple of weeks ago.

Awesome car.

Wonder how they figured this.

I'm still under the impression that he is owed the full value of his remaining contract, which currently is ~$55 million.

Not that it matters. He won't ever be fired. He won't ever give them a reason.

I will readily admit I'll celebrate the day Ms. Terry convinces him it's time to hang it up

When it was last renewed, they put a 'not to exceed' cap on it. I thought it was $24 million but that $23.3 number is probably right.

Every coach that saw this, immediately hired Stoops' agent.

I'll readily admit I hope they're the type of couple that enjoy a little alone time, and that she loves the spotlight him coaching provides her.

I hope he goes half way between the hbc and Bowden.

Sumlin's "hotseat" has never been about his coaching ability. It has more to do with what other people are doing or plan to do (i.e. Texas recruiting, LSU recruiting, Tom Herman's availability).

you sound bitter? This makes no sense. Why would he get fired after one year?

horseshite, it has definitely been about his coaching ability. It seems like every summer he comes up with a few great game plans and makes a few demonic deals to let his WB look incredible for 3-6 games and then the shitstorm starts.

Maybe this year is different because he finally got his defense setup to not be atrocious so he didn't have to sell a little more of his soul for the early season QB play.

Barnhart had no idea Stoops would be interested in the Wildcats head-coaching opening, but he consulted with Sexton, with whom he's been friends with for 20 years.

This explains so much about Barnhart. He has no talent in picking coaches so he lets a slimy "expert" do it for him.

He's got a death grip on SEC football coaches. He's had Saban, Spurrier, Malzhan, Muschamp, Petrino, Freeze, and I'm sure many more

He represented Calipari when he moved to Kentucky. Something tells me there is a little quid pro quo in regards to the Stoops deal.

because they have no choice. his client list includes a whole lot of the biggest names in college football

Not bitter at all. I never thought he was a great coach. It's just that he's an unproven coach that ya'll took a shot on. Seems a bit too much of a buyout for him. But good luck...

Cheeze-it never would have gotten an interview, much less the job, at the barn without Sexton.

He had Houston Nutt, and I believe Tommy Tuberville as well.

Sexton screwed tFlagship out of so much money for Nutt it's not even funny. Every year you'd hear Nutt's name laughably thrown around for some job, which was an obvious plant by Sexton, and we'd stupidly extend his contract like he was some hot commodity we couldn't let go of.
