LSU has more QBs in the league than Auburn, and had the same number starting in the NFL last year.

Neat?

Yours still suck at all levels. So not sure how you're going to turn this into a recruiting advantage like you're grasping for.

Even though we "do a huge disservice" to these kids, you're not getting them any more prepared.

This is why all elite offensive high school prospects should go to school at places like LSU, Bama and Georgia... Get prepared for the League instead of playing in a gimmick bugs bunny offense that will ultimately harm their draft stock. I think this is going to become a major selling point in recruiting, and I expect the pro-style systems to start to see an even bigger talent discrepancy over the next few years as word gets out that pro-style systems better prepare these kids for the pros.
High schools play more spread offensive schemes now than any other offense. It's easier for the young player to grasp and be effective ~ the QB's don't have to think/process as much when they get their plays from the sidelines, where the coach is calling all the shots.

The offensive scheme has translated to the college field and many HS players are well versed in the schemes if they go to a college team that uses the same offense.

The NFL position coaches need to learn to adjust their training & developing skills for this type of player if they are going to draft them.

Whining and complaining about it will get them nowhere, because no college programs is going the shelve an offensive scheme that's proven to bring in wins.

Would you guys give this a rest?

If your team (Alabama/LSU/Arkansas) ran a spread offense, the same guys that post stupid stuff like this would be saying it's the greatest innovation since shoulder pads.

I really don't care what kind of offense (or defense) Auburn runs, as long as it wins games. I certainly don't care what any other team runs.

This is just a bunch of pathetic cry-baby crap.

2014 opening day 53 man rosters:

NFLSU: 43 Players (almost an entire NFL team)

Alabama: 36 players (50% more than Auburn)

Auburn: 24 players (slightly more than 50% of LSU's total)

So yeah, we are better preparing them for the NFL, and it's not even close.

It's been a decent discussion with a lot of good information passed back and forth. (A departure from the flame fest and shite talk that tSECRant has become.)

I'd much rather have this kind of discussion than the crap headlining the board right now. "Is Robert Nkemdiche overhyped", "Why does tRant hate Florida", "Why is Auburn getting all the pre-season love".................

I'm just kind of amazed how the rest of us are able to do so much more with less.

Agreed. My only hiccup is are we talking about QB's and their inability to read a defense thus colleges should change their style, or just which teams put more kids in the NFL.

and for the purposes of this topic, shouldn't we only be talking about offensive players in the NFL?

I might agree if this wasn't the 312,000th thread on this topic, AND if the posters starting them were arguing in good faith.

Anything worthwhile on either side of the argument was already said about 12 months ago.

What he really is saying is black people shouldn't be QB's. That is a slow white man's job.

Thanks for clarifying, Rev. Sharpton.
