He won't walk away on top but sooner rather than later he's not going to be able to keep up with the demands of the job/the game will pass him by, thats just reality.
We're much closer to the end of the Saban era than we are to the beginning. If he wants to hang on past his time like Joe Pa and Bobby did and Bama fans are okay with it then good for him.
Many assume saban' s best years are behind him. But what is this based on. Wat if his peak is yet to come. His peak may come when he goes undefeated for the next 4 years he would shatter bud Wilkerson' s record. I think if any coach is capable of doing it it's saban.

That's what's sad. Football so consumes these guys everything is sacrificed or severely compromised. Families, marriages, children.
Maybe they can find a balance, but I'd bet there's a ton of emotional / relationship baggage for their kids.

First, he's got friends that aren't involved with athletics and socializes with them.
The man has a job that requires so much more of his time and attention (at the level on which he operates) than what the average person experiences. The great thing about it to him is that he loves was he does (most extremely successful people do), and doesn't actually consider it "work"....did I mention that his total annual income is probably around 15 million a year?
