This was a popular argument amongst LSU fans 2 years ago but it's a non starter. The BCS wasn't designed to cater to wishes of the #1 ranked team at the end of the season and let them pick and choose who they wanted to face. It was designed to determine the #1 team and the #2 team. Simple as that. LSU was the obvious and undisputed #1 at the end of the season. Determining #2 was a totally different matter and had NOTHING to do with LSU. In other words, It's silly and self serving argument to suggest that "Alabama had its chance with LSU and lost". That only makes sense in the framework of comparing Alabama with other teams deserving of the #2 spot if those other teams also played and lost to LSU. What LSU fans making that argument were essentially saying is that it doesn't matter who the potential #2 team lost to as long as it wasn't LSU. Okie State could have lost to Prairie View as long as it wasn't LSU because "it's not fair to LSU" to have to play someone they already beat. That's a weak, self serving argument.

Last year and this year are "bridge" schedules. As in "Temporary" as in "not permanent".

Bama got UGA dropped last year and added Mizzou. LSU had UK dropped and had S. Carolina added. UK was added to Bama's schedule this year while UGA was added to LSU's.

Again..... These are 2 year "bridge" schedules. As in "temporary" schedules put in at the last minute to merely bridge the 2 year period between permanent schedules in 2011 and in 2014.

Bama got special treatment while LSU got screwed. Period. No other way to spin it.

I know the SEC said the bridge schedule is independent of future and past schedules but they obviously (and understandably) took the previous opponent rotation into consideration. I'm sorry you feel like you got screwed, but complaining about playing the teams you were due to play anyway is weak

Anyone that denies this is just retarded and beneath me in every way as a person. They'll never admit to getting preferential treatment because then they will have to admit they didn't really earn all their accomplishments. Just like LSU will always be butthurt over the fact that Bama has dynasty because of bias at the SEC HQ. It's just a fact of life and they're to pussified to just own it.
