I am guessing you started watching CFB when Saban was hired.

I think Mac, Stoops, Boom and Kirby will prove to be good HCs soon.

WE had to wait until Byrant retired before we found out how dirty the program was. Probation 3 times since 1985-- the most in the Sec in the modern era.

Mullen?

Did you mean Malzhan?

At least Malzhan took his team to ATL and a BCSNC appearance. What exactly has Mullen done?

Saban is the reason why the other SEC teams are down.

Please tell us in the last 10 yrs Nick Saban has been at Alabama how he played a part in Auburn going (2-8) vs UGA, (3-7) vs LSU, (5-5) vs Arky, (1-2) vs Vandy?

You really are the whinniest little bitch on this board. And that's saying something. And for an Auburn fan to accuse anyone of cheating is the epitome of ironic.

Hell, the ACC has better coaching than the SEC at this point.

Tier 1

Jimbo (FSU)

Dabo (Clemson)

Petrino (Louisville)

Tier 2

Fedora (UNC)

Fuente (Virginia Tech)

Narduzzi (Pittsburgh)

Richt (Miami)

This. The ACC and Big Ten have significantly improved their quality of head coaching while the SEC has taken a significant step back for various reasons.

Richt to Smart was a downgrade.
Miles to Orgeron was a downgrade.
Petrino to Smith/Bielema was a downgrade.
Meyer to Muschamp/McElwain was a downgrade.
Spurrier to Muschamp was a downgrade.
Franklin to Mason was a downgrade.

That's 6 schools who have significantly downgraded from a tier 1 or 2 coach.

What does my comment have to do with Auburn? I am a Georgia fan! I only care about the Modern era of football ( 1985 - present). I was not born until 1980. I stand by my comment Alabama has been on probation more years than any SEC school since 1985.

Yeah. Auburn hasn't been in trouble in 20+ years. How long has it been since Bama was on probation for cheating? But yeah I'm sure its just coincidence all this has happened under Saban and they jumped in recruiting.

He's probably costing the SEC quality. Hard to attract top notch coaching.

To be honest... Judgement Day was inevitable...

The SEC was going to be either Sabanized... or Urbanized.

Don't get me wrong, I think Saban jolted this conference to the top, and I obviously can't regret what he made LSU. Both bama and LSU are better because of him.

I do think his juggernaut is now draining the rest of the league though. We used to have 3-4 teams that could hang with anyone annually.
Now the best of the rest are 4 loss teams that might go .500 in bowl matchups.

There is an off-chance that the teams ball out in the bowl season... making it look like just one of those years we cannibalized each other. Would feel nice.
