Um, yes I can? Barely being optimistic is still counts as being less optimistic about Coker than Aubie's were about Marshall.

You are downplaying your fanbases reaction while upping the auburn side. Its kind of funny, actually.

I've never once said I expect him to be a "stud" or "amazing" or anything else of the sort
I have a feeling how good this D is gonna be, and it will not take a QB who is high caliber to just not lose games and I'm sure he will gain confidence as the year goes on (you know like Mr Marshall did)
Anything other than just OK at QB that Coker delivers in his time as Bama's starter will be complete icing on the cake for me. I am excited to see how he develops.

Fify. Your fanbase is acting the same. Hell even in this thread you are proven wrong.

For me the A day game is what eliminated all doubt that Coker would be starting.

Me too
I actually wanted to see more attempts from David Cornwell but it was also clear Saban didn't wanna push him to kill his psyche against that damn mammoth D

quote:horseshite! Some Aubs were so brash about Marshall that they found everyway possible to down pay the 2 dozen INTs he threw in Juco.
We weren't brashly optimistic about Marshall like you guys are about Coker.

I could play QB for Bama and still win 10 games with our ground game and defense. I ruhtarded.
You nailed it.

If Greg McElroy can QB Alabama to a national championship with far less talent then will be surrounding Coker, I think Coker can do pretty well at the position, too.

Far less talent? Revisionist history.. gumps live it
Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Mt. Cody, Rolando McClain, Hightower, Arenas, Kareem Jackson, Marcell Dareus, and Mark Barron. I'd say the 2009 Alabama team had far more talent than the current squad. I didn't even include freshman like Dre Kirkpatrick who played but mostly were mostly involved on special teams.
2009 Bama was staaaacckkkked. 2014 Bama is gonna be good, but '09 or '11 Bama would skull frick them.
