Once he's officially graduating he's not staying for the ceremony, as far as I know. I believe by his own admission, he'll be done on May 2nd and at Bama on May 5th.

You are right, that is so much worse than a guy who played on defense for an SEC East team, but no snaps at QB, no attempts, no completions

So much worse

We weren't brashly optimistic about Marshall like you guys are about Coker. Also, calm down, I'm not being an arse... just pointing it out.

I'd put Bateman's A-Day highlights up against Coker's reel any old day, and have always had a gut feeling he will be the future. Kid has a gun, and is pretty damn accurate, too.

Although I think Coker will be the starter, I think Bateman could grow into the job nicely if needed. People seem to forget that he was a very good recruit last year out of HS.

You can laugh, but tell me you wouldn't find that the most awesome situation imaginable. You get another Heisman-quality quarterback and you cost your rival their Great White Hope.

That quote doesn't even hint at him being the starter.

I like you Juice, really do

All you need to know about Bateman is up until Aday, Sims had beat him out

Think about that for a minute

I am just not willing to bet Saban wouldn't make this decision without automatically starting or at the very least having confidence in Coker's ability to win the job

Except, Auburn fans were more brashly optimistic about Marshall than we are about Coker.

As a matter of fact, we're not optimistic that Coker will come in and be a stud. We're optimistic that he'll eventually which most of his potential as a 6'5" 230lb athletic QB with a huge arm.
