It's Saban-speak. He speaks in a deliberately convoluted fashion. That's about as clear as he can say "Coker will start."

What kind of QB is Coker?

Came to Tallahassee and FSU from St. Paul's HS in Mobile, AL the heir apparent to AJ (after he graduated and came to Bama) but a coaching change at OC implemented a Wing T offense. Jacob Coker had throwing ability but earned the starter at QB because of his feet and athleticism, so he basically ran a Wing T as the option QB in HS.

FSU's QB coach at the time Dameyune Craig was the first to show interest after watching him throw at practice and invited him to come throw at FSU and he did and earned an offer and committed. Bama offered very late in the process but it was too late for the lifelong Bama fan, and he chose to stick to his commitment and head to Tallahassee.

Fast forward 2 years and he went through a heated battle to be FSU's starter which über-talented Jameis Winston won and went on to win the Hiesman and BCS NCG.

As far as what kind of QB, he has been molded to fit FSU's pro style offense of getting the ball downfield. He is still a pretty athletic guy with some mobility and size. I expect their to be some growing and learning pains obviously but should be alright.

One that is going to hand off the ball to 4 different RBs a shite ton and throw several TE slants a game.

Ive read it. It sounds like typical coach speak that they are going to prepare him to the job, just like any other player.

Will he become the starter? the hopes sure are high for the fanbase.

Did saban "eliminates all doubt about Coker as the starter for Bama"? not at all

So do you think if Saban and Kiffin prepare him as well as they can to be the starter

He couldn't beat out Sims?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say just off intangibles alone (size/speed etc) Coker > Trotter
